I'm happy with the car as it is. If I was to keep it I'd get a set of cams and run moore boost through it. I took a mate out in it earlier and he was like a giddy child afterwards, he even said if he had the cash he'd buy the car just from that ride alone, lol.

I've had some interest in the car and they asked for more photo's, so I took some earlier after getting the car washed. I didn't want to say the car was mint but I try to keep it in good nick. These are the best photo's, albeit not great quality, I've tried to take of the car in a long time.

Good luck with what you choose to buy next, I'm sure you will make it a smashing car!

Be a HERO and get an NSX and tune that up. That is the only Jap car I'd like after/with an S15. Totally amazing looking car, especially from behind.

Yep, sad day but all the best with the next Tuner car, :)

I like the NSX as well, especial after Harvey Keitel tore up in it in Pulp Fiction, too cool.

Im actually missing the car, I've made the mistake of looking at S15's again:no:

I've made arrangements to go and look at a pretty spanking Evo8 in white, which are rare as rocking horse ****e, on Saturday. It's had a full shell resto, fully forged motor running 415bhp on low boost with only 27k miles on the clock and an interiour retrim. I went out in an Evo 8 running 370bhp a while back and I couldn't help but think the power delivery was so linear it made it boring (it was quick, don't get me wrong), but I'm hoping with 500+bhp one should be a bit different. I've been told by several people once you get them over 450bhp they're animals.

The car I was meant to see blew its head gasket, so kind of dropped wanting to see that car as it had a fully forged build only 2k miles ago, head gaskets don't go for no reason...

So, I picked this up today...

I hate the wheels and ride height but it can go round a corner so quickly it's stupid. I'm planning to change the wheels and lower it slightly. The speed this thing accelerates at though... ****! It's running about 500bhp and it's savage, I can't wait to get it on some track days, I'm already sorting a bigger turbo and maybe a set of cams. This car has had so much spent on it too, it's a street/track weapon.

Nice, what was it originally FQxxx..

My mate has a lovely Evo 8MR FQ that's running just under 400hp and you right they can go round corners stupid fast, just don't come off throttle once you've committed round the bend, not good, lol.

Top Car for sure... Have fun..

It was listed as a GSR, but it's got the MR interiour, plus it's an Import, not a UK model like the GSR's, so god know's what it actually is, lol. It's got a fully forged motor with a Turbo Technics S205 turbo (I may need to take this off the see if I can improve it:D), AP 6 pot brakes, ds3000 pads all round, Bilstein coilovers, Autronic stand alone, pace intercooler, 1000cc injectors, RS diff... It's so bad on fuel it's not even a joke but it's easily forgiven. The transmission is as close to bulletproof as you can get with Evo's, so I'm going to give it some serious abuse :D

I learnt a long time ago with 200's that you never take your foot off the throttle if the car starts to hang out. I pushed the car hard around a couple of bends earlier but I know deep down I was actually only tickling it's performance.

I hope people don't mind me updating my S15 thread with my Evo nonsence. I prefer this forum to every other I'm on.

This happened after 1 day :(. I suppose 2 bar doesn't fare too well with the below mentioned wheel

billet wheel aswell, that's the whole point of being billet! that wheel is sold out worldwide unless you buy it from another turbo supplier and a huge markup. I've got a 2-3 week wait at the moment. I bought a GT35R but had second thoughts when it arrived as I don't want to deal with the lag... 600bhp easy though, at 2 bar...

Cheers, Chris. I've got a few bits I'm sorting on the car at the moment. I bought a Full Race tubular manifold for it too which I'm yet to fit but its a nice looking piece of kit.

Ichigo, its not a GTX series turbo, its a weird Garrett version of a Mitsubishi turbo, it runs anti clockwise wheels which makes it a right pain sorting parts as everything has to be ordered from overseas. It's running a 73mm billet compressor wheel which has been said to flow around 53lbs, all of the rolling road graphs I've seen with the turbo are producing between 500-540bhp.

Bad news!

What do you think caused it? Did it just simply fail or do you think something got in there and did that damage?

Nice Evo though im sure its quite fun to drive haha

It's a metal fatigue failure, I see it a lot but its generally much worse than what's happened here. It's the first time I've ever seen it happen on a billet wheel though, must be poor quality material or it had balancing marks at that point weakening the wheel. Billet wheels were designed to stop these failures from.occurring, so its a little worrying to see. I did find the missing parts too, they were sat in the intercooler.

Well, a slight update may occur. I've fitted a twin scoll Full Race manfiold and have the GT35R going on tomorrow, followed by a full engine/transmission service with Silkoline engine oil and Millers transmission oil. I've got a 6 mile drive to my mates house with just the downpipe attached to have a my custom v-band flexi downpipe made then we're going to stick a base map so I can at least drive it for a few days till me live map it on the road. DIY everything including the the mapping on this car :D

the last DIY map on my pals evo produced 508bhp on low boost with nearly the same setup I'll be running...

I'll add pictures to make things more interesting.

Mate, I've had the car sat in the air on a ramp for nearly a month, it has to come down and get sorted. I've bought loads of **** for it in that time, carbon, manifold, turbo, cams and more. It was really quick before, a hell of a lot faster than the S15, and that didn't exactly hang about. I'll just be happy to take it out for a slow and moderate spin after such a short experience so far :D

I've bought some better wheels too but I've not sorted tyres out for them yet. They're only the standard MR/FQ400 wheels though, which I really like on Evo's. I was going to do the stance thing with stretched tyres but I don't want a tyre popping off as there's been a lot of reports of it happening to Evo's.

Nice!!! I knew you wouldnt hang about! Evo's and carbon!!! Win win!!!
My mate has an fq340 and that is rapid ! Also a guy I know had an evo 5 pushing 550 atw and that was just insane spinning all wheels ha ha good fun !
I don't like "stance" cars anyways I don't see the point in buying a fast car and making it so you have to drive it slowly lol
There is soooo much you can do to these cars , just depends how deep your pockets are ha ha ha
Look forward to the pics matey love perving over evo's lol
