Well I just took the car out for another spin. I'm getting .5 of a bar at dead on 3k rpm, but the road condition are too bad to look at the boost gauge while full throttle so I didn't get any more readings. I left my mate take the car out earlier too and even he said it was slow, lol. But he's only ever been in it when it's violently breaking traction in the dry.

yer i get my full 0.7 bar at 4k, has yours been mapped or you still on standard boost? i must say though the pull on the turbo is immense, just doesn't want to stop had it rolling road'd and the graph carried on climbing till about 7.3k. Nice and smooth no spikes, also the bhp and torque were dead even all the way.

Yeah, the car has a map to run 1.4 bar on a GT3071. If I get a minute today I might start turning the boost up.

Hardly an update. I went to Blyton Park a couple of weeks ago in the S15, great drive there, but took bloody ages. I went out in an Evo 6 that a mate owns running around 400bhp and I was blown away by the level of grip they have, I actually thought the tyres were going to pop off the rims we were cornering so hard... After that, it really settled it for me. I got the offer of going out in a 550bhp Evo 8 but the chap ran out of bloody fuel.

Anyway, this may be one of the last pictures I upload of the car, which was taken by a French visitor. The car never saw track action but received a lot of attention. I also received quite a bit of abuse from people after I told them I'd buy and Evo to replace this much better look machine...

I also saw this on the motorway up North, super rare Alfa Scuderia, I think

I was going to do similar (sell up go evo) even had mine on ph, then i drove a fq evo 8 for a bit, i got a bit bored of it, too much grip for me.
S15 is a much better looking car too, and dare i say it will hold value a lot better too.

My car is on Pistonheads at the moment. That weekend those photo's above were taken I took out the money out to buy an Evo 8 but my other halfs car got written off by a woman that fell asleep at the wheel, so they cancelled her insurance. I had to cancel the sale last minute, because I had no one to drive my car home, which I was gutted about as the car has now sold and was exactly what I was looking for.

The thing is, grip is exactly what I'm after, as I was quite into track days a few years back and the S15 is a fantastic car for it but going round an S bend at well over 100mph full throttle in an Evo changes your perception on what a car can do, handling wise.

On a more sentimental outlook, I do look at the car and think... ''Bloody hell, that's awesome''.

I've even had Ferrari owners slow down on the motorway so there passengers can take pictures, which is a little odd :D

Your car was one of the stand out ones on the japfest stand for me, i thought it looked about as good as possible.

i know what you mean, i was into track days too and i got well and truly destroyed in my 14a by a couple impreza's, nothing i could do about it,
yet to take my 15 on track but im hoping it should be fairly good, if nothing good fun at least.

you will never get it to be as fast as a 4x4 realistically round track but it's good fun trying, spinning trying to keep up is what its all about lol.

yeah 15's get a lot of attention, a awful lot lol, never had a ferrari slow for me though lol.

I got called ''gay'' for wanting an Evo over my car... That actually hurt my feelings:(:rotfl:

I do have a thought pop up every now and then to keep the car. Having a car that can't hold traction in low gears, with wide road legal slicks, does get tiring though. Not only that, when it does grip it puts a lot of strain on the box.

I got offered a 550bhp r32 gtr plus cash but wasn't really interested, I would have taken it if it was last year as I was looking at them. I just fancy something a bit newer that's not going to cost the earth. I'll probably still spend silly money on tuning it though:wack:

My old engine is nearly built, I can't wait to see what it makes. The new owner uploaded a picture...

I do regret selling that engine. I could quite possibly of had the most powerful S15 in the UK, not sure on Europe. That turbo kit made 480bhp at 1.4 bar on an sr20 forged motor with a mild head. The solid lifter head was a stupid spec, must have cost £3k to do. That was a 600bhp engine!!!

End trails of updates... The car was mapped on Saturday in 34 degree heat at APT. Gary got out of my car literally drenched in sweat it was so hot:wack:

It was lively at 1.3 bar but I tried it on the high boost setting at 1.5 bar later in the week and it's a missile. I'm nearly condisering keeping the car now, as I've got parts just lying around at work to make it quicker :wack:

Mate, seriously considering it. I love it to bits and I know it inside out. I'm thinking maybe get it to 400+bhp and just rock around in a good looking motor for a while :D... I shouldn't have sold that motor, lol.
