Well, updates might start to get a bit scarce here as I'm looking to sell everything, including the car and move onto something else, but trying to find cars that are as quick as the S15 thar aren't modified is very difficult. I've had someone Ask for all of my engine, turbo and fuelling setup, so that's a huge bulk off loaded. I now just need to put the car back to a good tune before I put it up for sale.

I've had a last spending spree, bought a Titek carbone fibre coil pack cover to make. This was really great quality, I bought it from FR Sport

Also bought a new Koyo rad cap to get rid of the cheap one that was on there

I've got a lot of other new parts turning up over the week too, but the last part that arrived today. I got this for a disgustingly good price from Garrett as I wangled my charm on the phone :D

56 trim Gt2871R with .86 exhaust housing, so the car should still be capable of making a lot of power in the future for whoever buys it

Did a few more bits tonight. I bought A Japspeed style manifold to get me going and milled the faces flat as they were like a banana, this is going to prevent any future gasket problems too as these manifolds seem to come bowed from new. This is the third one I've had to sort on my cars. I also wrapped the collector that runs by the intercooler pipe so it doesn't melt through and wound brand new studs into the turbo flange.

Fitted the turbo up with a brand new gasket and all the new braided lines I bought from Driftworks yesterday.

I'm just waiting on the last few parts tomorrow to get this lot on the car.

can't you just sell me that turbo and manifold at a disgustingly good price? :p

Why the sale? Sick of the car or is it something else?

I think the shipping would be the killer for that, mate. Working in the trade helps with things like this though.

If I'm honest, I don't know why I'm getting rid, just fancy a change really. I still love the car and its in great condition too. I've been looking at so many cars the last week I don't know what to get next. I really wanted an Audi rs4 B7 but they're too slow for my liking, merc amg's are the same. I really want a Noble m12 but that's a bit out of my budget as they're still fetching £25k plus. I might just sit on the. CAsh for a wile and get something that really catches my eye. I just hope whatever it is its reliable as the S15 as I've.owned it for two years now and its never let me down except the gearbox not liking the power.

Noble are bad ass defo one car I would swap mine for!!! Still don't see many about either so would keep the exclusivity of the 15 , is a shame seems all the nicest 15's are going to new homes :( good luck with it all anyways mate hopefully you will decide not to sell it and fit that crazy motor ha ha ha

that would be great if you're swapping to the Noble M12 , pity to see another S15 owner leaving . However that's a good price for the Noble , for that same price we could only buy a Honda Civic in Malaysia *sigh*

The motor is going Pegs, the buyer is taking the motor and turbo kit for £5.5k tomorrow.i am a bit gutted I never built it, but I've slowly been losing interest in the car over a few months. The car is getting a service tomorrow aswell, I took some more pictures tonight of what I've been up to...

Took the top mount setup off, right pain in the arse as the engine bay is so tight

I stuck a new multi layer manifold gasket on too, no point in using old parts at this point as i want the car to be as fresh as possible

Then bolted everything in place, I've got to finish it all off tomorrow as I ran out of time tonight. I was supposed to be taking the miss' out for dinner but had to sort the car out :wack:

the part where you mentioned that you were meant to be "taking the misses out for dinner, but had to sort the car" usually = no sex for two weeks :)

We'll, its all gone :( quite gutted I never finished it. I lined up everything for the buyer to check before he loaded it into his car. Everything you need for 550bhp plus

I cracked on with finishing the car this morning, started with an oil and filter change.

Then finished off the intake pipe and intercooler pipes

The last bit of the puzzle is the mapping, it's booked it next Saturday and then the car is ready. It's running 1 bar at the moment and it feels slow, but it's still spinning the wheels :wack:

It's still a good spec car, it'll happily run 400bhp on this turbo and more with cams.

Its not my garage, it's our storage unit at work, but we've got a two post ramp to work on our own cars. Is a great little setup.

The other half wasnt too happy about me working on the car last night :D, but I'll make it up to her.

Whats the set up now? i currently have the HKS GT RS turbo on mine but only running at 0.7bar so its laggy as hell but hopefully when remapped it will respond better.

Standard internals still, just running a power Fc d jet ecu. The cars current map was for a 56 trim GT3071R so it's not far off the GT28. It's not as laggy as the 3082R :wack: but im getting a bar at just under 4k rpm I think, I haven't properly checked yet as I've only driven the car once earlier to get it home. It feels like a good turbo though, pulls right up to the redline.

Oh yer the pull on its immense compared to my mates standard turbo running at 1bar. But with my boost so low I'm looking at power coming in at just over 4k, still feels like a great turbo just needs mapping. Plus the noise of the turbo sounds great :p
