I had a question. Does anybody know how I can get my volk gt-c's fitted?
I dont have any fender flates or wider fenders so just a stock body.
Sizes of my volks are: 17x9 et28 front and 17x9 et21 rear with 245/40R17 all around.
I am a bit worried this is going to be a problem..

They didn't fit... front run on my brake caliper and coilover. :/
What would the ideal fitment be, just flush, exactly flush. I don't want hellaflush or whatever. I just want it to fit good without any problems at all but without any major gaps..

Damon, I got my GT7 Volks with spacers. It's the only way for me. I got 18x9 +10 in front and 18x10 +12 in the rear, and both I fit with spacers ( 17 mm in front and 25 for the rear).
I know, it's not the best config, but that's all I got.
I think you should try to put spacers to the front, use a 225/40/45 r17 tyres for front, roll the arc and pull it a bit.

Nah thanks for the advice though but I just want something that fits good without any crazy camber, arch rolling, spacer crap on it.

You need a narrower tire anyways... i fitted 18 x 9 and 18 x 10 both plus 12 , with rolled arches. So you should be ok. Youd even get away with a 215 tire id say.

I've been looking into what tyre sizes I'm going to need for my new wheels, which are 18x9 ET22 front and 18x10 ET22 rear.

I'm going to use the tyres I have on my current rear wheels (225/40/18) on the new 9" fronts, but I'm unsure of what to get for the rear, I think either 255/35 or 245/40. 255/35 seems to make sense as it will keep the rolling radius roughly the same and will minimise the amount of stretch.

The pic below has more or less the same set up (less 3mm offset), just concerned about the tyres hitting the arches. My rear arches are rolled flat already. Can anyone who runs a similar size confirm that 255/35 on the 10" rims will be alright?

All the cars below are running at stock guards rolled unless specified.

I'm sure some of you have seen ben's (SpecS15) s15. imho his has the best fitting

Wheels spec:
F 9J x 18 Offset +22 -2.5camber Tyres:225/40/18
R 10J x 18 Offset +25 -1.0camber Tyres: 255/35/18

I run 18x10 et38 on the rear with 255/35 and that fits fine. Not too sure they would fit being another 16 mm further out like yours will be though, mine fit nicely to the arch maybe about 5mm . You may end up having to go for the 245 mate, hard to tell really till you try it

Tried to get a decent pic for you so you can get a rough idea ,my arches are flat back

Good stuff, thanks dude. I've gone for a pair of part worn vredestein sessantas in 245/40, that way if it looks like I will be able to get a 255 on, I won't have spent loads on new tyres only to find I can't use them and will be able to buy a perfect set next time if that makes sense. Pretty sure all manufacturers sizes are slightly different as well which makes buying tyres really easy (sarcasm).

Good idea bud!
Yeah they are all totally different mate! I am running kumho ku39 atm and they have a decent bit of stretch so good clearance, prior to that I have run falken 452/453 , Pirelli p zero michelin ps2 to name a few ,some rubbed some were fine , all down the sidewall profile ! Some have rim protectors, thick walls all sorts ha ha Proper pita and something you wouldn't normally think bout when buying tyres ha ha good luck with it anyway mate ,sure you won't have much trouble getting them on. Look forwarded some pics when they are on :D

Yeah would still fit if you put 5-10mm on the rear and 15-20 on the front would fit perfectly and be able to run a decent sized tyre still too. I ran 18x8.5 et25 18x9.5 et30 with 225/40 f 255/35 r and it sat really nice .
