Yeah that's correct maths but I have et30 on mine and still needed a 3mm spacer to clear my coilovers so would probably get et25 if I bought a new set all depends on your set up tbh

Thanks, from what I've read COILOVER choice is a big factor aswell!! Well I'm bidding on some wheels in Japan so if I get them ill see if I have problems fitting

Im thinking about purchasing a set of Rays Gramlights 57F Pro Wheels in the following sizes:

F: 18x9 +33
R: 18x9 +30

Im lowered on coilovers, and my stock fenders (front and rear) are rolled...

Will i have issues with fitment?

I would also like to mention, i prefer not to change the camber settings in order to fit these wheels, so i can avoid getting an unnecessary alignment.

noob here. just got my first s15 but for months now i have been researching wheels specs and makes and offsets so i kind of know what im looking for and what goal i want. want i don't have much knowledge on is how different coil overs can have a different effect on how a wheel fits and how it effects your offset? the hub doesn't move further out or in when you fit a coil over, but im guessing the diameter of the spring has an effect on clearance issues with the inside edge of the wheel? how different are the sizes of the different coil over manufactures out there? im looking at running a 10" wide rear and a 9" front so my clearance is going to be tight.

im looking at work sp1 3p - front: 18x9 +22 A disk. rear 18x10 +30 O disk.

Boom!
New wheels fitted easily
Front-
17x9 et 25 however also a 5mm spacer so effectively 20.
Tyre- 215/45

Back-
17x10 et 20
Tyre- 225/45

On HSD Coilovers down pretty low, only needed to flatten the inner lip completely and that was it.

Another fitment question for those of you who can help:

Front - 18" x 8.5J / ET15
Rear - 18" x 9.5J / ET18

Arch rolling necessary? Guessing strut clearance will be ok (HKS Coilovers...)

What size tires would I get to get them to clear? Camber adjustment?

Arch roll would be needed. They would also stick out at the rear unless you were running a bit of camber. Nothing daft. Tyre wise I'd play it safe and go with 225 rears. Fronts should be okay with a roll.

Cheers Ollie.

So 225/40 up front on the 8.5's, and the same for the rears? I was thinking 235/40? Or will they not have enough stretch to tuck in? I suppose it depends on the tyre type as well right?

Ill try and take some pictures of mine this weekend pal as I'm running very similar sizes, rear wheels poke out quite a bit, I stretched tyres on the front but probably could of gotten away with it, I'm not running much camber on the rear though, will pull my settings out to give you an exact figure.

Hi mate, my wheels are xxr 527. (18s)

Front sizes are 8.75j +20 offset (tyres are 205/40/18 - Federal 595 evo's)
Rear sizes are 9.75j +20 offset (tyres are 225/40/18 - Toyo t1r's)

Camber settings -

Front - negative 1.59 degrees
Rear - negative 1.3 degrees

Fronts

Rears

Additional Info - i have HSD coilovers which the rears cover by a good 20mm, the fronts however are only around 10mm clear, no spacers required.

The maths (correct me if i'm wrong) -

My fronts

8.75j +20

From the hub the edge of the wheel is 8.75 x 25.4 = 222.25mm (width of the wheel in mm)

222.25 / 2 = 111.125mm (to the centre of the wheel)

111.125 - 20 = 91.125mm (the hub to the edge of the wheel)

Your Fronts

8.5j +15

8.5 x 25.4 = 215.9mm

215.9 / 2 = 107.95mm

107.95 - 15 = 92.95mm

My rears

9.75j +20

9.75 x 25.4 = 247.65mm

247.65 / 2 = 123.825mm

123.825 - 20 = 103.825mm

Your rears

9.5j +18

9.5 x 25.4 = 241.3mm

241.3 / 2 = 120.65mm

120.65 - 18 = 102.65

The result

Your fronts will stick out 1.825mm further than mine. (wouldn't be an issue with similar camber settings)

Your rears will stick out 1.2mm less than mine. (Better, but will still be outside the arch, unless your run at a guess 2-3 degrees neg camber on the rear.

I also have front and rear arch lips flattened back, no rubbing :)

Hope that all helps!!

Still going?

Hey guys is this still going on?

Im getting some XXR522's and cant decide on sizes, my options are:
18x8.5 +30 available in matte black & chromium black
18x9.5 +38 available in matte black & chromium black
18x9.5 +25 available in matte black, chromium black, and gold
17x8 +35 in chromium black, matte black, gold
17x9 +25 in chromium black, matte black, gold
17x9 +42 in chromium black, matte black, gold

I am thinking 18's but dont want too much of a hassle. I have stock suspension on low spring, propbably only about an inch of drop from stock height if that.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It will work, if you don't have coilovers
