Pegs, tell me about it. The labour charges would have been crippling with all the work I've done to the car.

Luke, there's some stupidly powerful Evo's over on the mlr, almost countless cars running 600bhp+

This is where the manifold cracked, its out of site on the car so you can't see it when its fitted...

I just gave it a clean up before it gets fitted too as I used high temp paint on it last tome which flaked off after 5 minutes...

6oo+ haha mad, have you ever thought bout fitting anti lag ive seen evos with anti lag and think they sound better than any other als system on other cars, i wanted some fitted to my s15 but a friend from prodrive whos running als on his scooby convinced me not to because of how brutal it is on the car, i only want it for the bang bang haha . iam no welder but it looks a good job on the mani and its a really nice looking manifold aswell, pleased its all ok bet you cant wait to fit it though hope you havent got to do the work outside,,,, getting a bit fresh now

hope it gets sorted soon pal... is it worth chasing the big power, as it seems you've had nothing but trouble with it?

Luke, the standard ecu is fully re-programmable on the later Evo's. I have launch control added onto mine but not the antilag function as it munches the turbos.

Adam, I bought the car with the intention of using it for a bit of fun then moving onto something else next year but I've ended up really liking it and because of the problems I've decided to upgrade parts as I go along. The manifold for instance has now been braced underneath to try and stop the cracks reoccurring.

The car is back together now and I had it spinning all 4 wheels last night in 3rd gear, great fun :D

Engine bay all back to how it should be... Or for a few days at least...

Yeah, it's weird as its not controllable like rwd is, it just heads off in a diagonal direction. It's a bit dangerous actually :wack:

the car is finally getting mapped on Tuesday evening too, I can kick its head in now :D

That's my plan, Chris.

Cheers, Adam. Apart from the crack everything has been fine.

Still not quite done. It's a bad time of year to try and road map a car, the road conditions today were terrible, It was called off before any planning even went into it. We're actually planning the forecast in preperation, tomorrow has warmer tempertatures and Thursday looks steady at the moment, so we've planned Thursday evening for mapping instead. I also got some footage of the car, but it's teriible. I'll sort something else out soon.

Well, I'm not going to go into what's happened recently, lol... So I'll just show a few pictures of the car how it sits as of tonight. I had to cheer myself up, so bought new wheels and sorted out the ridiculous ride height on the front. They're not the best pictures as we didn't finish the front till it was dark, the rear has been left alone as I didn't have time to do it as I had to get myself ready for a flight to my parents tomorrow morning. It's running some rake but it looks a lot better than before...

the suspension has settled a bit more since then. The coilovers are wound down so far there's no more thread on the front, the rear does have a way to go yet. I also got rid of the super gay mud flaps :D

Thanks, man. It's now running 17x9 wheels all around, the tyre profile is a bit chunky but it'll do for the winter. The wheels sit bang on flush with the arches too, which is at least what I wanted looks wise.

I personally found 17's handle a lot better than 18's anyways a bit of extra tyre wall defo helps with grip on our crap roads lol . Its a Compromise looks or performance ! Think you went the right way really suit the car mate and I like how it sits now too always like the muscle car slant lol
