Cheers for the exhaust pics. Does look really nice, may have to shut my eyes and ignore the shipping costs from Japan!

Yeah thats mate, i got mine thru jesse streeter, even paying the air frieght it worked out about $100 cheaper than buying from a local place.

After much swearing and help from a mate to hold the z32 afm, i managed to stretch the stock rubber intake on. Used a heat gun to heat the rubber pipe up.

Oh one thing about the regu 06&R is that it is really quiet. Not too much louder than stock, has a really nice note when u give it some. No droning, i have a pretty decent stereo since its a street car and i didnt want to have the exhaust mess that up, i also like to be able to talk to passengers without yelling over an exhuast.

Thanks for the tip sr20det

Well there is rain predicted for saturday, started last night. Bit worried about the road tune now :s

Just need to wire up the tomei z32 plug now.

Be nice if i add cams, bolt on turbo and injectors in a year or two and try and get the power to around 250rwkw and still have it look stock :)

Wires up z32 afm including the additional groud wire. Put the nistune ecu in with base map to suit the z32z car started and ran fine.

Only thing left to do now is get a tank of 98 octane petrol.

Ive already had a play with the evc-s to make sure i know the ins and outs before i waste the tuners time etc ;)

On dyno at rotary motorsport, owner is a great guy, really helpful and good prices. He was nice enough to open up saturday morning for us because the weather not looking workable for road tuning.

We did a few hours here before hitting the road when the rain and raod dried up :)

We finished the tune on the road so im not sure. Its running 14 psi so id say about 180kw at the wheels. I was having some strange boost dropping problems i need to sort out before it can be fully finalised on 15/16 psi.

It was pretty hot yesterday i think with enough heat soak in engine bay it may have been enough to develop a leak in the intercooler piping as the car reaches around 15/16psi. I took the car out last night and today when it was a bit cooler and have no dropping issues now.

Back at tafe for the next 3 weeks for part 1 of my 3rd year mechanical block. Ill probably leave my rice burners alone until after that.

Been thinking about it for awhile, im starting to think the standard rubber intake might be sucking closed causing boost to drop to 0.

Maybe the stock airbox doesnt help either. I am running a hks panel filter and would like to keep the stock look if i can get away with it.

The boost was going up to 15 psi, then as it revs out say around 5500 rpm it would lose all boost and drop to zero on the guage and the car would slow down alot.

Do you know if the hks suction kit comes with a pod filter? Or can i buy just the metal pipe. Wonder what the chances are of getting it to work with the stock airbox.

Hmm that boost drop would suck. I odered from frsport comes to about 540 AUD other places like 600 dont think theres cheaper still hasnt arrived :( its a whole specific kit for s15 so im assuming all piping etc with it. Only problem is shipping takes ages bout 2 weeks better then 3-4 from gt garage and prolly ridiculous price. I have the stock air box also and it sucks :(

Thanks guys, i have toyed with both those ideas. However i think ill get gt auto garage to fab up a new metal intake so im guaranteed it meets up with the stock airbox. I might get a new hot pipe as well. Need to measure the Arc piping and see if its bigger than the stock hot pipe first. If its not ill leave the stock hot pipe there.

Spent today sanding and prepping the MAD roll cage and brembos for undercoating. Took hours, man im sore now, time for a shower and big sit down with a few jds :) oh and study for tafe, ive got a test on final drives monday. Covered charging and starting systems so far.
