Thanks guys, its taken me about ten years an alot of blood, sweat and almost tears to get the skyline to this point, and i still have a fair bit planned for it. I never plan on selling it and im starting to think that about the s15 too :)

With the skyline being a little bit hot for the police and generally loud, noisy and harsh to drive around town. Think loud fuel pumps, stripped sound deadening, painted inside, loud exhaust, no sunroof, aircon, heater or stereo, bucket seats, nismo 1.5way etc etc.

I needed another car to keep me entertained and had had enough of driving cheap run around cars as fun as they im getting old now, just turned 30, and needed some comfort/luxuries, style and power back in my life.

Jeez its nice driving a ****box though sometimes, leave it unlocked, never wash it, drive over/through whatever you like. Trade paint with other pushy motorists.

Anyway back to some updates...

Found these hiding on the skyline, long weights we call them in the trade. Must have been about 2kg each, not bad when ive put on 10kg in the last few years! :s They were located aroun the front of the rear subframe mounts.

Wired up the new tank/pump a few days ago. The wires are the same colors exactly so hopefully it starts and runs okay without blowing and fuses or as one of the tafe teachers calls it "letting the smoke out" :)

The tank is some 12L bigger so it will be interesting to see how the guage reads. By interesting i mean probably a massive headache lol.

I ended up using the gtr straps, fitted with the rubbers from my gtst in the standard gtst locations. Probably of little interest here but you can see the old mark on the fuel tank where the gtr runs thr passenger side strap slightly further out. I couldnt see it making much difference personally so went with what was easier.

If u can see im missing a fuel pump after the surge tank, will grab one this week. Bank account is pretty smashed atm, and i have a mortgage to keep me honest as well!

Took a few pics of scooter today also, great thing to get around town on. I spend too much time in and around cars so its nice to just jump on the scoot and grab whatever you need from the shops. Always nice to have a choice, not that i did today with both cars in the shop.

Its a 2003 50cc direct injection, watercooled, cvt transmission and tops bit at 80 on the flat, and is generally the same speed as the rest of the traffic, i had a slow chinese 50cc air cooled a few years ago and to be honest they are a pain in the ass they are too slow and you end up making other motorists really mad. Which is bad because in australia everyone is aggressive at the best of times. Down hills ive come close to 100 but i pussed out trying to get more speed as i only had an open face helmet then. Nice story i know, im really bored today lol.

I bought one of these the other day, i am ordering a bigger memory card and the iphone expansion card atm. Using dashware software this will allow me to do some hd videos and overlay a trace of your route or the circuit your at for example. Since this camera uses a 4hz or 4x per second gps unit it will also log speed and this will be shown on screen by dashware as well.

Dashware is about $40-50 to buy so pretty good value and if you are logging any other data from the car this can be shown on screen as well.

Go onto youtube and search "contour gps dashware"

I think alot of ppl here would enjoy this product, i almost went with the new hero 2 but it didnt have gps and its not a very stealth looking camera which is important to me. It did however have the ability to add an external mic which would have been nice on the contour gps.

I picked up the camera 339, iphone interface card 20 and 16gb micro sd card 60. From a place in Aus called racerecall. All prices include shipping. They also do many other camera systems if you are looking for something more serious.

The S15 is still waiting for the front bar to be fixed and painted, then it goes back to MCA for some final tweaks to the coilovers. Still need to find a tuner for the nistune too...

Really just want to get out and test the ku36's :)

Chasing up a Cams approved bolt in half cage for the R32 at the momment too, should be good!

Loving the scoot! I've got a Honda X8R-X to hoon round town on! Cost me 400 quid, 60 a year insurance 16 a year tax and does 3-4 weeks on a fiver of fuel! Mines done 12K miles de-restricted.... so i'm waiting for it to implode so i can bang a 90 kit in there!

Post some pictures of that scooter up mate, very keen to check it out. Totally agree about the cost, its such good value for money :$

Thanks for the comments as well guys, hope someone is getting some enjoyment from it. Personally i love a good build thread, and wanted to give my 2c back.

Did a bit more on the front bar yesterday and today, working on the fit which is almost done. Should be in primer by the weekend as i have to go back to MCA Suspension as we are fine tuning the coilovers. Great service from those guys, cant speak highly enough of them and how the car rides/handles now.

Then i need to find a decent paint shop to match the 3 color pearl the factory white is. If it was say the bayside blue mate could spray it at the workshop and not get too much if any "cra p" in the paint. Doing a 3 layer plus clear is pushing it though.

Got this hiding away too, its a RB26/30 which will use low mount on standard manifolds. I rebuilt it a couple of years ago to pretty much standard specs. Im hoping for 300kw at the wheels from it. It will go in the R32 when im not the slowest thing in the car :)

Haha yeah i have thought of putting it in the s15 a few times, but one of the reasons i bought the s15 waa because they handle so well with the little light 4 banger up there :)

In the skyline it still turns really well but you definitely notice the great big lump of cast iron 6 that you are trying to steer around. Really dont like understeer and love rwd and is the main reason i havent sold the gtst and bought a gtr or and evo instead of the s15. All this traction control, stability control, yaw control or ayc its all cheating!

On a more serious note my fingerprints are gone from "blocking" the front bar with wet and dry sandpaper. Its ready to have the stone chips filled now and then sand with 800 and 1200 wet and dry. Then the week after next i hope i can get it painted and have the s15 back for the xmas break ;)

Nice work mate! Coming along very nicely indeed! Rb26 sound amazing but think your doing the sensible thing leaving it for the skyline ,I wanted to stick a rb25 in my 15 but was told it ruins the way it handles so sr20 ftw
Good job on the bumper too dude those gaps are spot on!
