Test fitted the cage tonight, went very well no issues with fitment. Just have to drill the chassis for the mounts then pull it back out and my mate will paint it.

Seat fits ok pretty sure i have enough room.

My mate painted the cage today, i spent yesterday sanding it with 400 and 800 and then removing any run marks prior to painting.

Im really happy with it i get a bit sexual when i see freshly painted parts, especially in bayside blue :)

Will aim to fit it tomorrow

What are the exact parts you have, i could work you out a price for fitting all that.

I am yet to approach them about tuning the nistune ecu i have, im still need to get a metal intake kit. Cant make up my mind if i want to keep the airbox or not, might go a pod filter i think.

I dont know their phone number but im sure google does :)

So after a fair bit of thought about the rubber intake sucking closed i decided to order a

and i thought i might as well grab one of these

Im thinking about paiting it all black including the filter cage, just for something different. Not sure what ill do to fix the tune yet, i wouldnt mind having a fiddle with the nistune myself. Probably not the best idea but it would be pretty handy to learn.

Fitted those parts today, nice and easy all went well with no problems. As expected the car has lots of induction noisr when boosting, hopefully i dont get sick of it since its meant to be my daily.

Managed to keep the stock inlet to the airbox, drilled two holes in it and zip tied it to the filter cage :)

Thanks peg, its a custom color we mixed up. Pretty close to the real deal i think, i couldnt find a paint code anywhere for the real brembo gold.

In other news i have finally broken out the gizzmo kmon knock monitoring device ive had for a year or two. Since i changed the intake i wanted to check for any knocking. Especially on 15/16 psi.

I have just ordered the nistune plms consult port to usb cable and the nistune software itself. I am also trying to chase down a plx wideband 02 meter the same as this kit.

I got a catalogue from tomie from frsport that showed tomei as a dealer so i have contacted jesse streeter to see if he can help.

I have purchased the plx wideband and guage combo from frsport.com. Will arrive in a week or so i guess :)

Today i fitted the new shocks mca have been kind enough to build me a new set of si ce the first set had very minor issues. So far they are excellent, and have delivered by far the best customer service and quality of product ive come across.

Heres a few pics from today, took me 4 hours working fairly casually :)

Old shocks in silver, new in zinc coating which i think is a nice touch.

Thanks for the feedback peg. I love your s15 in silver too, looks great :)

Today im going to load a racemap into the ecu i got from my tuner now that the induction problem is fixed. Ill hook up the kmon and take it for a drive to listen for any knocking. This can be logged and viewed onthe laptop using the kmon software. I should wait untill i get the wideband o2 but i just dont think i can!

I need an excuse to rebuild the engine with forged goods :)

Well i tried the race map and its knocking a bit high. I better wait till i get the wideband. Setup a nice a and b boost level on the evc s. Set to 12 low and 15 high. Ill try to keep it to 15 max i think. Really need a dyno lol its not as easy as fast and the furious haha
