I think a track car would benefit massively from a stroker kit more than a road car. Ok it's going to greatly improve response/torque/driveability, but the head, depending on what's been worked, isn't going to improve flow, so your overall power isn't going to increase.

I tried to get a price and availability on a GTX3071 about 3 weeks back, not available from Garrett Europe. That was another turbo I was very eager to try out.
Check out the link.. this is where I got my turbo from. Scoobyclinic are the dealers for them over here..

I finally had some energy and time to start taking the old turbo off this evening, I got the whole lot off in about half an hour, which wasn't so bad. I'm selling the GT3071R as a kit if anyone's interested:D

I started to bolt the new turbo kit up and soon ran into a problem with fitment. The external wastegate won't fit as the ABS unit is right in the way, so that's going to have to come off tomorrow and get moved back slightly with a new bracket. There's a lot less space to work with than I originally thought... Oh well, no going back now:)

I finally got my new reg too, I had to send off my documents and driving licence for the size plates I wanted. This arrived in the mail today and is going on the car this weekend too.

Looks good pal, you seem to know what you are doing.. love the top mounts makes it look more purposeful

I'm not that in the know but how come your not running a MAF? Do u have to run a map sensor instead or something?

It does look a hell of a lot better, The turbo is so big the comp housing is a gnat's pube width away from strut top :D

I hope I know what I'm doing. I've already done something silly though, I had to take the new custom downpipe to the welders to get a Lambda fitting fitted and for some unknown reason I drilled the hole and got it welded on the wrong side:wack:, not sure what I was thinking there but it won't cause a massive problem.

I've always run a map sensor on the car, Adam, I far prefer it to the maf.

can i know how is the exedy clutch holding ? is it stiff with harsh engagement?

The Exedy clutch was fine with the GT3071, but I'm yet to try it out with the new turbo. It's not horrendously heavy, but it's not the lightest of clutches either.

I run 18's with the brakes, but some 17's will fit over them too. My old Rota Torque's were able to fit with the 356mm setup.

This top mount lark is a bit of a pain :D

I've had to ''modify'' the abs mount, lengthen the power steering resevoir pipes and sorting the intercooler pipework is nearly done. The car's now at a mates having a new downpipe made as the one that came with the kit wouldn't fit.

I fitted two of the ali pulleys I bought bloody ages ago, but couldn't budge the altenator one, so I'll do that another time. I also fitted a new water pump.

I had to do the same with my old TD06 kit. Stupid really as it was a straight fit on the S14, so Nissan have managed to use a smaller ABS pump, but get it more in the way :D

Yeah, the kit came off an S14 and was apparently a direct fit. The intercooler piping has been a right pain as there's practically no space. I got a mate of mine to sort out the downpipe but it sits too low and scrapes on the London roads. Apart from that its running sweet and sounds a bit mental :D

I'll try and get a video clip, but one of my mates borroed my satnav/phone holder and broke it, so I've got no way of mounting a camera at the moment.

I fitted the Aero front bumper tonight. Typically one of the plastic mount screws was so rusty it wasn't going to budge so I had to choice but to snap it. I removed the mount from inside the wing and worked the remains of the bolt out and ran a tap down the thread to clean the rusty **** out and refitted with a new bolt. I've never fitted a front bumper with such a spot on fit before, oem is clearly the best way to go.

I've literally just got in from work, so I've only got a pretty awful quality picture of the bumper fitted. I'm just waiting for the side skirts to turn up from France and they'll be going on too.

when you put in your ksport front bbk , did you have to change your s15 bmc to a z32 bmc?

No, I use the standard bmc. I've never had any problems with braking, infact the car stops so well when I went on the last trackday my other half paid for a 30 minute tutor slot and he kept telling me how the car could slow down from high speeds much better than anything else he'd been out in that day.
