contact dan at db-power mate - he'll be able to sort you out a set. not cheap at 90 pounds but its a hassle free solution withouthaving to make up your own out of copper and get hold of a flaring tool......

nah thats not it, give him a shout and explain that you want the hoses from the joiner block on the bulkhead back to the calipers. caliper hoses are an extra 30quid. so 120 all in i think it will come to or thereabouts. for that you get the long hose from front to back, the one that goes across the rear, the short hose from the t-piece to the drivers caliper hose, the tee piece, all fittings and banjos/copper washers, nylon p clips and screws. you're best off to contact him directly on sxoc ;) just tell him you need the same as deans15 ordered as i had to get the long hoses adjusted to suit s15 (obviously you need s15 caliper tail hoses too ;))

sorry i haven't been around :( my laptop has some sort of virus on it so i have had limited access, i am now using a slow netbook but at least i can get on here :)

about time i updated this :) what have i been up to......

well first iff i was fed up with the slightly grotty battery tray so i cleaned it up, painted it with hammerite smooth black then cut a piece of alloy chequerplate to fit, this has been sikaflexed to the tray base so no water can get under it and rot it out

then i had another big task on my hands(or so i thought) in addition to all the work i was already doing - martin (carbonkit on here ) dropped me off a freshly made vertex lang 4 pc kit for a bargain price - i have been waiting for the last of the parts to turn up to put it all back together so i started fitting and adjusting the kit to fit to save carting it to the bodyshop and leaving them all the work. here are the results after a few hours over a couple of days of fiddling and trial and error - the fit is pretty great for a replica kit - if it was poor then i was going to leave it off and sell it to a drifter, but if i can get it to fit like this in fairly short time then whats a bodyshop going to be able to do :D

front bumper trial fitted - all this needed was the usual trimming for the intercooler and it's pipes, also a bit of trial and error on the mounting holes to get them spot on. it has the built in undertray that bridges the gap from when you trim the original to accommodate the intercooler...

side steps - these went on fine, again trial and error on the fixing holes and will need a little bit of trimming to make 100% perfect fit in the bodyshop but sod all really

rear bumper again went on with little fuss, little bits of trimming and mounting holes slightly adjusting needed before painting but pretty much went straight on - number plate bracket needed a little trim along the bottom to stop it scratching the paint later on

so thats where i am at the moment - any feedback is appreciated as this is a big thing for the look of the car imo . i always said i wouldn't get another bodykit after my last car but having seen this kit and met the guy that made it and dicussed it, i thought it's about the best i'll get without selling a kidney to go to vertex japan.

thanks again s15oc for taking the time :notworthy:

Looks sweat Dean, and if you are happy with it, the fit must be a good fit, as you are a fussy git ;)

That looks like a very well made kit. If you get a chance can you pm me some pics of the mounting points on the inside of the front bumper? Going to have to take mine apart this summer so looking at ways to improve it.
Cheers

thanks for the nice comments all - allan i'm very happy with the kit ;) fruitbooter, i'm not far off having the back sorted and suspect, mounting the bumper is easy. there are 2 10mm/stardrive bolts on the inner wings inside the bumper each side, a couple of clips on the front top edge and sometimes under the number plate, thats it. :)

What a great fit.. top kit by the looks of it for sure.

Regarding the kit, do you know if the guy you bought it off is also selling the Lang lip spoiler? deliberating about buying one from Vertex-USA but it's over $300... cheers

cheers Dean, I've had my bumper off a few times so was looking more at how to improve the fiberglass as it seems to split and crack at the mounting points. I'm sure you said something about having carbon fiber in these locations, it was this I was interested in.

thanks again for the nice comments

today i started to fit all the pipework back on and encountered a problem... the hotpipe connects to an elbow hose that goes through the inner wing to the cooler - because the new fans were very close to the air con reciever dryer thing, once i re fitted the pipe it was all tight against each other, either the fan surround would of worn through, the silicone hose, or the ally ac pipe. the missus asked me what the ac reciever did and i told her it was part of the aircon....'but you never use the aircon' she said, 'can't you just take it out'........ i've always been a 'window down' person and prefer fresh air to cold air, so i've hardly ever - if at all used it.

so :)

the red circle shows where the problem was, the reciever was sandwiched between the pipe and fan

and this is the end result - even easier to work on without the extra pipes etc, saved a chunk of weight, tidied things up and improved airflow to the rad all at once :)

took about an hour to strip the ac system out, everything came apart very easily.

i expect to be very busy on this over the next couple of weeks as i need it running to get to the bodyshop if i'm ever going to make the first shows of the season, just waiting on the main brake line from hel performance (they are taking the mick on timescale) and the last powder coated parts back from the blaster. :D
