the tetrosyl stuff isn't bad and it's quite thick, it takes some getting used to applying it or it runs, but when it dries its like a matt black/grey. thats why i sprayed over the top with the glossy waxoyl stonechip shield

thanks for the comments everyone, subframe is now back on, but i'm struggling with the handbrake route. also can't connect the hubs up just yet as i have removed the springs from the coilovers for powder coating....so theres nothing to hold it up until i get them back

I reused the brackets off the original cables as the r33 ones don't work well with our subframe

sold them with my brake kit was thinking of using a couple of stainless rubber lined p clips.....they are only literally there to stop the cable moving around from what i can see..... have you got any pics of the route yours takes mate? also do you remember what way up the prop mount fits?

I'll get you a pic of the prop mount and cable routing tomorrow when I get my car out of the garage for the first time in 6 weeks! The cable brackets aren't overly important I don't think, but best to refit them or an alternative.

inner wings primed, and coated with two generous coats of stonechip paint

gearbox mount back on

subframe components starting to be bolted back up, but i'll have to drop it once more to do a minor adjustment to the brake hoses and handbrake cables - haters be warned, the lower arms are done up exactly like nismos except with polyeurethane bushes (so, better, as nismo arms are just s14 arms reinforced the same as s15 items with tougher bushes ) therefore, to satisfy my own sticker fetish and to make them look flashier i fitted nismo stickers - it's not everyones taste, but it's not like i've put rays stickers on my rotas lol

the bolts i have used in the rear subframe are 12.9 grade m12 capscrews with philidas turret all metal locking nuts. there was nothing wrong with the originals but i have found that the adjustable arms have slightly thicker mounts on them so the original bolts didn't seems to go through the nuts enough for me which i wasn't comfortable with, also i have eliminated the standard adjustment as thats no longer needed

Yeah had a look mate, wish I had enough cash to buy it all but paying for diff,brakes and rad has cleaned me out!

i'm a proper whore for a sticker lol....not sure mate, will be done for the beginning of may for certain but that will be everything. mechanically will be back together in a couple of weeks and running again. i jus't havent much spare time at all at the moment with work etc.....

air bags crack me up - you need a chrome flamy sterring wheel trimmed with cream leather and chrome wire wheels to pull off that 'stateside' look :hurl:
