nothing wrong with cable ties as a temporary fix! :D

replica bumpers definately don't like cones though, where as my old genuine gp sports kit held up fine.

My mates PS13 with a genuine works9 kit hit 2 oil drums and a few fence panels at pod and only had a small crack to show for it! :wack:

Really? I've never had that happen, even when cruising at 120/130mph! :wack: and that was with only 1 cable tie on either end of the bumper!

I suppose it depends on the size of the cable tie

UPDATE!! :D

Fav piccie from recent Nurburging trip hehe...

Got down to some more custom work in my garage (out with the cobalt drill bits and stuff lol)...

Been wanting to lift the spoiler recently because I fancy getting more height for looks but also I can't see much out of the rear view mirror which is a pain out on track (and OTR when you think there's cops following ya haha). So I put together some steel metal strut extensions doubled up on each corner for rigidity:

I know from the last pic it's not gonna be popular (most people either love it or hate it!!) but I'm happy with the results and until I can get someone to CNC proper struts of that height out of ali and powder coat them in black, these are here to stay :p

Well so far it's passed the *** mph test so it's not gonna fall off :)

Also set to work on some new end plates for the spoiler as I've never been a complete fan of the current ones which came with the DW wing...

So above is how I cut the cardboard template for new end plates which are 'teardrop' shaped... more GT racing style

Then adjusted design a little smaller all round so two plates can be cut from one single sheet of A4 3mm thick pre-preg CF sheet. If I had to go from A4 to A3, then the price suddenly jumps from £66 to £120!!! :wack:

Just a little note James might be a good idea to put a piece across the angle to stop the two bars folding down on themselves if they loosen up.....Cause I guess if you loosen the screws you can push it down??Just a thought till you get the proper struts machined..Put it between the bottom rear screw and top front screw should do it, also adds to the rigidity mate:thumbs:.

Cheers Trial - I've ordered an A4 pre-preg carbon sheet from CarbonMods.com which cost £66. Will make up both plates as soon as I get these in and then post pics up :)

As said I'd post pics up of when I completed the new 'teardrop' end plates for my BGW lol...

First cut template from cardboard, test fitted on car and then reproduced template onto A4 sheet of paper to ensure adjustments could be made to fit it all onto one single A4 sized carbon sheet!

Scored the template onto the Pre-Preg double sided CF A4 sheet.

Lots of Dremel action to get rough pieces cut out etc.

Lots of smoothing off and they're ready for the edges to be sprayed in matte black to finish off (plus the screw holes needed drilling)...

Fitted first time onto spoiler - no problemo...

Another angle... I love these waaay more than the original fins/end plates!!

Puchased blue anodised pulleys... just need an hour spare at some point to fit them lol!

Also recently added Defi water temp sensor which now displays on my Defi Link Display unit :)

Yeah thanks mate - all I can tell you is the nut for the alternator pulley is huuuge lol... 24mm socket required!! :D

I took it to local garage and got them 'shock' it with airgun so I can take it off easier when I come to do it. Didn't fancy trying to loosen that nut which is probs been on there for over 10 years and there's nothing you can wedge against on the pulley as the stock alternator pulley has no holes??!! :wack:
