Hi Mike - thanks mate :) Yes will definitely have to meet up when you get yours although if you're ever in the area, drop me a line and I'll take you out for a spin (and some sideways lol)...

I really don't envisage selling her and I'm not one of those guys who changes cars every 6 months lol... in fact 3 years is usually a minimum but Silvia is here to stay :D

Glen - I haven't got crazy offsets... best I could do was go 9.5" all round. Coilovers are at the lowest settings on the front so will need to look into that!! Rear wheels now need slight spacers to fill the gap hehe...

lol ok guys - here's some pics of the rear wide-arch work that Daz @ Innovation Bodyworx did for me. He's awesome with his bodywork skills - hats off to yet again another superb job on my Silvia :)

Visual comparison of one side with new arch just bonded on and the other side still stock...

Early days...

Fuel flap brackets were eventually extended and gap filled. She's all flush... can't stand the 'recessed look'!!

I will take more pics when the weather gets better but this is from Curborough a week after it was all completed. Daz has bonded on the rear arches using screws to help the process. Once it was all set, the screws were removed. He sanded down the fibreglass for ages as with all kits, they never seem to match from one side to the other?! After speaking to Albert at Knight-Racer recently who trades in all sorts of bodykits etc, he said even the branded ones like Veilside or Vertex don't often match up exact!! I thought it was cos I bought copies but this isn't necessarily the case - I'm glad I didn't fork out ££££ for JDM stuff :) Anyways, the other side (fuel flap side) needed a lot more work since there was a ridge like 'hump' which made it look weird and not right at all (running from one part of wheel arch up towards the rear quarter window). To rectify this, Daz cut a 2 inch wide rectangle out of the panel which allowed him to push it in and make it flush again. More fibreglass work was done to get it all smooth.

Finally, the insides of the old arch to the new arch were filled in so there are no dodgy gaps above the wheels which can lead to moisture trapment and RUST!!! *no no* As said, the fuel flap was made flush and hey presto it's all done woop!!! :D :D

Another pic - this time taken outside Knight-Racer (you can see R34 and GTR in reflection hehe)...

And the undertray- rear difuser! Where's that from mate, and is it a universal one, or silvia specific?

Looking good James, well done :)

The lads have done you a really good job on the widebody kit. Love the way the lines still look original too :)

Cheers guys - yeah lovin' the wider stance bigtime!! :D

Topper - I replied to your PM about the rear diffuser... but if you didn't get it it's basically a copy of an RE-Amemiya Pro item designed for the RX-7. You can get them off eBay for around £250 IIRC (FRP versions not CF!!). I got the same bodyshop Innovation to custom fit it. Daz had to do a fair bit of work like smooth edges, build custom brackets to mount and stabalise the diffuser, cut small sections away so it fits around the exhaust silencer/pipework and it was all finished off in matt black :)

You don't get the end 'fins' which are called generators - these are usually sold seperately. I got my diffuser from mate with RX-7 who didn't want it anymore and the generators from EP Racing. I suggest you speak to Albert from Knight-Racer.co.uk - he should be able to source these diffuser copies for a decent price ;)

Si - rear bumper is stock with those small quarters bonded onto the sides... came like this from Japan. I don't think the diffuser would fit with any aftermarket rear bumper cos they's all be too low at the middle/back section.
