We had an sr at work this week after removing one to paint a bay , so we took the opportunity to test fit my turbo set up !
As I expected it takes up a lot of room and to get the inlet at the angle I want it looks like the tub will need notching to gain more clearance .

Finally been down to see my engine 
Not long now ! They have been sent the wrong carrs bolts twice now and one of the piston rings was damaged so they are just waiting on these parts now then can do final assembly at last !
Some nice touches on this like cnc combustion chamber to remove the squish areas , threaded the front hole for the billet oil squirter . Larger bearings and crank ( believe they are using gtir but will confirm ) lots of other nice little touches I will do a full report once I collect the engine
Can see all the other parts too custom cams with greddy pulleys , supertech valves , guides and seals, Carrillo pro-super a roads , it’s going to be sweet

Bare metal the quarters and painted them in the new body colour ready to bond the fenders on now .
Hopefully not too long till I get the shell painted
Removed the old holes for the fuel filler too , going to run something in the boot

That’s super lush, great choice of colour
Got my fenders bonded on and started to blend them in . Going to look class !
We pulled the fenders an extra 25-30 mm too for more clearance so I can run bigger tyres and better camber .
Should be around 70-80mm wider now

Cheers dude ! Definitely coming together now . Just waiting on the engine so I can do a proper mock up before paint . Hopefully won’t be long now apparently they are just waiting on some gaskets

Well the engine is almost ready for collection ! Waiting on the cam cover gasket atm other than that just need to bolt the clutch and flywheel up and I can take it home at long last
