well with exams over and abit of TLC needed be done to the car, I had her up on some axle stands.

I was getting abit of play on the rear driver side wheel, found it to be the wheel bearings on the way out so decided to change them out with a spare set i had laying around.
while i was at it started to fit my Z32 alunium upright/knuckle mode i had been planning for a while now.

only managed to get one side done..
dame weather!

refurbed lower arm powder coated polybushed and adjustable roll centre

Conical spacer required for fitting ball joint to alumiunm knuckle.

knuckle was fitted with a rose joint to allow maximum movement of the suspension mount as the z32 suspension is actually at a slightly different angle.

test fitted the knuckle in place

cut and welded an old suspension bottom mount to take the Z32 fitting.

a few problems in countered while doing the mod.

dust cover on axle needs to be removed as it rub on the rear of the knuckle when bolted on fully.

and some grinding need on the z32 knuckle/upright where the suspension bottom mount bolts on, cause of full supension travel the knuckle hits the bottom mount.

Oh for those who are interested..

latest power run...
power versus torque ***the power and torque cross just over 5000, just incase it looks abit funny

boost versus AFR

yup i still have a boost leak, dropping from 1.6 to 1.2 :( and a very rough power curve but AFR is fine.. possible plugs to cold IK27's
but hey still made 400BHP :)

fitted some new tie rods and ends.

as the tein rods and ends i had were knocking at the ball joint. and i needs to put in some aadjustable rod ends as the teins were causing bump steer.

Ikeya Formula adjustable rods with 12mm threads to suit S13/S15 rod ends.

Megan adjustable rods ends all fitted.

as you can see the rods and ends sit much flater and straight, where it was at a angle before.

Well i got myself a boost pressure test kit recently, so spent the whole day finding the suspected boost leak.. found a big leak on the HKS bov flange and a small pin hole on one of the welds. this was a custom peice i got made to plumb the intake to the intercooler pipe works. What i think happen was the
aluninium flange warped when it got welded to the pipe causing the oring to not seal correctly. so grinded down the flange seat, replaced the bov back in and pressure tested it again no leak now. just need to re-weld where the pin hole is now.

I hope now this is the fix for my boost drop, should be able to run 1.5bar to red line now
thats 7.8krpm!
Also went to align the wheels and found that the rear toe was maxed out on the oem adjustments.
so got myself som powerflex bushings with eccentric centre to allow extra toe to be dailed in. didn't want to get aftermarket adjusable arm, as there generally expensive and heavy.

But i did install some traction arm to push the rears out 8mm to help traction and wheel geometry under wheel travel. some nice PBM arms in gold

New owner has just came and taken her away. She should be cruising her way thru the UK now, and heading to the Nederland's.

Reason for selling is I'm pretty much not using the car. My 3min drive to work a couple of times a week. Have no proper garage to store it. So just out there in the elements. Baby is on the way, but think the money for a nice extension may be better. It has served me well for the pass 8 years.
