How exactly do you bleed them while the engines on anyway? I was thinking this the other day...wont the pedal just keep going to the floor and wont build up enough pressure to force fluid through the system?

Right where are we..

Exhaust had a blow due to missing gasket...

Bought some ebay specials -

Lowered the car onto bricks so I could tighten the arms up when it was on its wheels.

Brakes seem fine now btw after another bleed and a bit of usage, I need new disks and pads really but Im waiting till I can afford a big brake kit..

Done and almost ready for the road

After this I sorted a few little things like the horn not working (down to fuse) and number plate light, put the rear bumper on gave it a quick check over and it was time for its MOT.

Which is passed

A few people were comenting on how clean it is underneath...I bet it wont stay like that for long though :(

So its taxed now and on the road from Monday.

Happy Days! :D

Looks ace mate, well done :)

At least you know it's 100% solid now and even if you do use it in crappy weather, the important bits will be ok as the chassis/underside is fully protected.

Its a shame in a way that so much salt gets put on the UK roads in winter, im loving it down here in NZ at the monment when the air is 2 - 5'C (no salt) just warm enough to keep ice off and cold cold air for the intake and intercooler, on fine days its brilliant for driving. went for a long drive down through the hills south of where i live took about 2 hours each way, good open roads no one on them and brilliant scenery. The cool winter temps are the best for driving

Please tell me that you're not going to drive this in the winter are you?
Yup!

As long as I keep on top of the cleaning and washing all the road salt from underneath there shouldnt be a problem as its fully protected...I know its a shame due to all the work but its not a show car its a fun car :D

Mine is a bout the same as fuitbooters tbh
I have 8 years no claims think its just my postcode and the fact its not garaged that makes mine so expensive

i still cant get over the stupid cost of insurance in the UK, mine works out at the equivalent of £280 a year in NZ, then again my old faithful 190E i drove when living in the UK was about £240 a year and that was only a 1.8 putter

It is odd mate, sky were useless again, a-plan were very reasonable and friendly but when I called Adrian flux to cancel they blew all the other quotes away...
