Cheers, chaps. I'm pretty chuffed this evening as a huge potential problem got sorted and I timed the whole engine up by myself somehow. These engines are not easy to do without two people. I devised my own locking tool for the cams while I timed the bottom end up, so that's all sorted. The engine has oil in it and I'm basically just waiting on the injector seals and I need to get the battery charger out. It may be sometime this week it finally fires up :D

Well, it runs, sweet as a bloody nut

i pulled it out of the unit and just did 20 miles in it and it runs faultlessly. 80 more miles to go then oil change and mapping.

Cheers Adam, I've practically changed everything in the engine since buying the car. I've got a good idea of what it'll make, power wise. I've heard back from the fella that's going to map it and it should be one evening next week. Ill upload a video of it at full power.

It was mapped last night, now running 2 bar dead. Gave it a bit of stick coming home and its pretty quick :D. Made something like 410hp at the wheels, works out to about 520bhp I think it was.

Its not too bad, I thought. You can't floor it around town, you really need a clear carriagway to open the taps as it builds speed up at quite a rate

Thinking about taking the car to pod tomorrow, depending how I feel in the morning. The throttle position sensor plug worked its way loose, so its been down on power since the drive home from mapping, plugged it back in and its gained a bit back.

Whoever had it off before I owned the car broke the small tab for the plug to clip onto, I've had to hold it on with a cable tie this time to stop it falling off, it threw up the management light, so I knew it had happened

What a terrible day at Santa pod. Queues were ****, I only got three runs in and everyone I made a mistake, either messed the launch up or missed a gear. I also found out the car has produced a boosts leak, so I was only running 1.4 bar. The best I managed was 12.6 @ 114mph with piss poor shifting. The car should be in the 11's at well over 120mph.

anyway, on my last run, I ended up racing the JM Imports GTR, that thing must be like 1200hp, lol. He shot past me like I was stood still as I was attempting to shift, unsuccessfully, into 4th gear.

Hanna funny story, damn Gtrs. If u want you could use silicone to keep the gps connection attached. Just out a couple of blobs on the outside once it's plugged in. Use black stuff it blends in better

congrats on the power figure
