Yeah would look amazing personally I hate teal. What about using the purple from the lettering on the head but a flake?

Won’t be putting purple on it . The whole car is colour coded black , gold , white and teal
I have this flake to go on the car as well

And also a champagne gold flake so will work that into the candy somehow

Bay is going bodycolour but turbo , manifold and braided lines will be black with gold fixings. All the bolts for the engine are being yellow zinc coated too , silicone hoses will be white so just cover and few bits I’m looking at the teal for really

Teal over white looks awesome! That will definitely be a special combo between it, the bay and the bodywork.

Stickers are quicker and you can take them off if you change your mind haha.

Yeah I really like the teal and from the beginning of the build was always going to be the contrast colour ( unless it looks rubbish )
Ha ha yeah that’s very true actually stickers would probably be a better idea

There you go then, if it was your plan from the start then give it a go! If it does for some reason look rubbish then the white could be a good backup? White goes with anything pretty much.

Yeah exactly what I was thinking as I have both colours anyway
The idea is to paint the underside of the car white with the gold pearl then do sub frames teal and all the arms gold or vice versa. So it should in theory tie in nicely

Are you doing the interior white? Or keeping interior bit in with carpet? Get a roll cage and do that teal!

Interior I’ll probably paint white or gold . Undecided yet as I’m still unsure what I’m doing Inside. Was thinking half cage and custom metal or carbon firewall similar to the hot rod style where they box everything in

Depends how much money I have left by then ha ha as unit move could be on the cards in the next few months
So may end up being a later date kinda thing

Stripped most of the bay yesterday afternoon , will be dropping subframes etc off the car during the week ready to be blasted on Thursday .
Waiting on a date to get it over to absolute customs then to have all the metal work done ready for paint

Stripped the bay totally now , subframe is off also .
Took a while to get the loom out as someone in japanland has had in inside the car ! Ended up cutting the loom as I am getting a full custom loom made anyway
Just the rear frame to drop now and it’s ready for blasting

Did you find you had any rust in this area (on either side)? That’s where I have some which will be getting sorted next month.

From what I can gather on mine it’s just the thin sheet metal of the inner arch and not the chassis rail thankfully. Is it the same with yours (if you have any there anyway)? You can see it better since you have no engine in there haha!

Yeah buddy , I have some on the passenger side there and same as that , just the thin sheet on the inner wing so not major luckily !
The driver side has been replaced before I owned the car and seems they didnt protect the repairs very well , luckily it’s mostly getting cut out and replaced
Have a better idea once it’s blasted

Ah right, good to know it’s a fairly common place then. It’s a stupid design when you look at it haha.

Are you putting a full interior back in it?

Yeah it is a bit silly . Would be ok if they were correctly sealed up from factory , but they aren’t !
I’m 50/50 atm
Tempted to have a half cage and some custom panelling across the firewall. Will decide closer to the time

I noticed that the guy from SR Autobodies puts seam sealer over every single little fold or seam on the car that he’s working on - such a simple thing to do but I guess when you’re actually producing cars every little penny counts.. Nissan designed some really weird creases and horrible moisture traps on these cars.

You’ll have to let me know if you don’t plan to use that intercooler sprayer button (unless you want to keep it of course)
