Cheers mate, was lucky i spotted it with the amount of water getting in I am lucky it didn't kill my footwell fuse box!! In the summer you think I would be better with a 10w40 then? I change it every 6 months so might try it next time, just have always run mine on this.
Think that's what I paid, plus have the bonus of the oc discount too which is nice as most of the time when a sale is on companies don't let you use it!

Yeah, I'd just got for a 10w for the vvt sprocket as they don't like thin oil and can start to get noisy from it. The 5w will be fine in this weather as it'll stay slightly thicker with the colder temperatures.

Ahh fair enough, if your oil is staying that cool it'll be thicker, keep an eye on the temps though as you don't really want the oil getting much colder than that as it can cause engine wear. Do you know if its a thermostat operated sandwich plate?

Oil coolers are good for hot weather or track use but if you're running very cool temps on the road for normal driving its not healthy for the engine. My oil temps were around 90-100 degrees on the road which is good as its in its medium and operating temperature. I'm not saying you're necessarily going to have issues, as it'd more for long term useage with thd wear I'm on about. It's more babble at this point. :D.

Lol I appreciate the advice dude I might remove it then, it was on the car when I bought it so just left it. The car was set for drifting when I got it so have to assume that it would have been closer to the right temps when driving full whack all the time. Either that or I will just have to drive it hard everywhere I go lol

It's a good thing to have on an Sr20 in my opinion as they really need a better means of oil cooling than the **** water cooled block as standard. Just cover part of it with cardboard for winter useage, cheap alternative :D.

Fair play, I always tried to stop using my car as much as I did but I loved driving it I used it nearly every day. I really miss it, it makes it worse as I come on here mre and read all the project threads and realise what a grmotor the S15 is. I will own another one in thf future . I'm going to stop posting now as I've been in the pub for a while and I'm posting on your thread more than talking to my mates :D , ..

Would love to check out the evo anyways!!!
Only thing I am going to need to fit is a diff and clutch when I have the bits .Oh and I still haven't fitted my bloody fmic and skyline rear brake set up lol always something else that is more inportant!
Do you know any good exhaust places btw?? I have a leak from the 2 flanges after my cat, looks like they are slightly out of shape but also want to get the angle adjusted slightly too as since I fitted the mani the tip is munching my bumper lol
