Haha, excellent! Oh - how one thing leads to another! How much are you undersealing? I have used conceptua for my wheel bearings, handbrake cables and handbrake brake shoes and was very impressed with the price and service. Top company to deal with IMO.

BTW, I saw this and thought of you :p (rich coming from me)

lol, you're right mate - that is rich coming from you but i'll take it as you mean it ;). i'm undersealing back to front up to the bulkhead, the sills, the front wheel arches. not underseal but stonechip. i've also gone up the back panel behind the bumper a few inches that could be a vulnerable area....

Hey dean, don't want to hijack your thread, but, what's the brand of the front tension rod you got for your car??? they look ace!
cheers. they are apex performance bushed arms and rods mate. they look good, but the coating on them chips off very easily and would lead to rust and maybe seizing up - so i'm having them powder coated too :)

Apex arms are infact 'Hardrace' items with the stickers removed, as are the engine/gearbox mounts they sell.

all thier products are re-brands afaik, but the arms are quite well made - it's just that damn coating is really poor....guess i have hardrace arms and gearbox mounts then lol

Yeah, I was very impressed with the quality of the arms. They are better than the DW ones without doubt.

A lot of people slate the DW stuff lol...I always thought they would be top quality stuff coming from those guys? Id love the suspension set that has the CS2 coilovers and all the arms.

But the rose joints don't last long at all. They are no good for normal use as they aren't sealed so crap gets in them and they wear out rapidly. There's absolutely no need for them on a road car either IMO.

Ohh right...would you say the ones from Apex are the same? They get covered in crap etc so no point on a road car?

I notice youve ordered the Apex ones too, but do you only really use yours on track and the odd dry weekend?

I think id only go for them because they would be new compared to the ones on there now which are old and worn..plus snazy clours are always good!

I've got the same ones as Dean - Apex/Hardrace bushes arms. They use a reduced amount of hardened rubber instead of rose joints. :)

about time i updated this - picture dump time :)

plated bolts came back, the de-brittling process gives them like a rainbow finish but at least they won't rust again any time soon :)

some more suspension components back from powder coating

hubs re-assembled with z32 handbrake mechanism installed

propshaft(s) cleaned up and sprayed with hammerite black

intercooler element started to look a bit grubby so gave it a coat of zinc galvanising spray to make it look a bit better

sills cleaned up, jacking points straightened and primed ready for stonechip

brake lines roughly being mocked up - the old lines were fine but the fittings were all rounded and din't know if cutting the old flares off would present problems with re-fitting
