Haha, you probably will be mate! I'm not going to start anything new until I'm back in May. It's only any real use if you have a tubular manifold ;)

UPDATE

We now have all of the materials to do the job. Steve the fiberglasser was in the process of making the fiberglass one today when I popped over with the goodies. It will be set tomorrow but will need trimming etc so it wont be until next weekend until its ready to go (sorry Dan H, but there are pics below of it still wet in the mould!)

Can't wait for the first ones to be sent out now :) Feel free to post up pics when you get them fitted!! :D

BTW.. I bought some Carbon Kevlar while I was there as it looked awesome! From speaking to the guys there I get the impression it is an absolute pig to work with! If anyone else (apart from Ric) wants this then let me know and I'll work out the costs. They will be the last ones to be made though as I want to be here when they are done as the stuff is a lot harder to work with even though it looks like it would be the same.

The template I have got is for a box surrounding the pod filter and it creates a seal around the AFM by sandwiching between the AFM and the pod filter, but the fixings and diameter are different on the Z32 to the normal AFM. This sealing method will influence the way the filter sits too, which could cause problems. For example, if you are running a hard pipe between the AFM and turbo, the chances of it fitting well are slim. Also, if you have a large mushroom filter (like the HKS one) it may not fit at all.

I could make them without any hole at all so the buyer has to cut the hole for the AFM themselves. It would take a lot of patience and accuracy though. This potential GB is around 2 months away, so no need to think too deeply just yet! :)

Haha, mad more like!

You wouldn't believe how much time it takes up doing this. I've got an A4 folder full of peoples details (which will get shredded when finished with), an Excel spreadsheet all formulated up to keep track of who owes what.. Even simple things like sending them out is time consuming. I had to have custom sized cardboard boxes made especially for these, small enough to get away with cheaper shipping, but big enough to offer enough protection. Sending Internationally is a bit of a nightmare too and I underestimated the shipping cost of some! Oops! I swear they keep changing the rates though! Also found out that I get kindly charged £7 by my bank for International transfers too.

In the next GB I'm going to have to ask for full payments upfront as it'll massively reduce the amount of work involved. Whine over! :D

Thanks for organising it all Craig, ti's appreciated all the effort you've put in

Is the airbox you've got in mind anything like the Gruppe M one?

No mate, its not like that. Its basically a box that surrounds the filter. It is not a sealed item but provides a good shield. I haven't checked yet but it might not be compatible with a WMIC due to the routing of the hot pipe.

I will be looking to make some form of scoop to push air up towards the air filter from the bumper vent where the WMIC would normally sit too :)

I didn't know that GruppeM made an induction system for the S15. It looks really good but I guess it will only be compatible with the standard AFM. And it's around £600 delivered! (80,000jpy)

looks like it won´t fit on Z32 AFMs...
That's what I'd say, but not sure if you could get an adapter plate. Doesn't mention it on GruppeM's site.

I have one waitin to be fitted but havent got the flanges I would like hard pipe from turbo to afm and I have the HKS green mushroom filter so need flange for that too any one got links where I can get these so when this GB comes round I will have all componants ready to go....Cheers guys. If its just a heat shield and price dependant, I would be in!

I was thinking about this.... at the moment I have just modified the scoop that comes on the WMIC to push the air up

How have you attached the WMIC scoop to the bumper? I was thinking something a bit smaller that would attach to the hole where the OEM hotpipe would go..
