My boost sensor is redundant, as I use the EVC. However, you can see it lay behind the fuse box.

I wouldn't know if the pressure is lower or not, as I only fitted my oil pressure sensor to the relocation adapter. I would say not, otherwise all the people with oil coolers would complain... The pipes are the same as to my catch tank, so 5/8 inch.

I was running an SBC, but after taking months to work out it was faulty, I now run an EVC and find it much better and simpler

Small update.

Fitted the new Apex Performance Z32 solid intake pipe and finally got to tidy that side of the engine bay

Nicely, can't remember if I asked this before. But what size hose did you use for the oil cath tank? AN10. If that's the case how on earth did you fit it to the engine side? Maybe you use AN11?

Yep, ratched strap Most secure and quickest way to hold and remove a battery :thumbs: And don't be ridiculous. Cardboard? :no: Two strips of carpet They aren't just any old terminal connectors underneath though...

Not sure on the size of the catch tank hoses without checking. Think they were 15mm... Got them from Hose Solutions though.


Intake pipe is ?79. See here. They also have a standard AFM intake pipe replacement.

Hmm. AN10 is about 14.3mm inside diameter. They fit with alot of elbow grease.
AN11 is about 15.75mm inside diameter.

Oh, forgot to mention that the intake pipe has improved spool-up. Its supposed to improve boost too, but I think I've disturbed something somewhere, as peak isn't being reached...

have you tried to reset the EVC?
Might have to re-learn the base boost if it would have changed.

OK. Don't know how the 5 works. But isn't there a setting for base boost?
i know that on the 6, you can set it manually or when in "enter base boost" mode on initial setup, drive a couple of full boost runs. It then uses the peak boost from those runs as base.

I thought the 5 worked in a similar way.

I reset my EVC 6 after removing my MOT cat as it boosted wrong when the exhaust flow was altered.

Its manual. You dial-up the boost you want IN ADDITION to the base boost.
