Chris - I hope to be more patient this time round!! Ain't got the money at the mo to spend the dollar on the power upgrades... will be happy with Stage 1a chip for next 12 months :)

Thanks Darren  Know what you mean buddy... I got to a certain point with my S15 and thought as a daily car it's just not right to be going down the track route making her more and more hardcore!!

Great work again! Wouldn't have thought you'd bother with the full bodykit on a track car, but it looks cool! :)

Last time on track in the Almera I was blinded by the sun because I'm stupid and took the sun visors out, so proceeded to make a sunstrip out of duck tape in the pits! Need to get a proper one for next time! :)

Cheers buddy :) Yeah I was originally thinking no kit but you know me, I'm a sucker for the bodywork if it makes her look more aggressive!! :D

haha liking the duct tape idea in the pits... very 'GT racing quick fix solution' going on there :p I'm pretty handy at fitting these sun-visors so if you need any help just let me know dude. Considering you've helped me out so many times it's the least I can do lol...

you mentioned back at the start that the car had a paddle clutch, im curious about the setup you have, or are you just using a stock setup now

Transmission wise it's just stock (apart from ACT paddle clutch) and will remain this way since I won't be drifting much in this so hopefully the box will last longer than if I was clutch kicking it all the time!! :wack:

*UPDATE*

After a week's delay due to dropping my only key down a drain (long story don't go there lol) managed to get a replacement key from the local Nissan dealer and this was subsequently re-coded because of NATS :wack:

So... here she is with all the bits and bobs painted... all using rattle cans cos I'm cheap! :p

Getting there now... only 'small' jobs left to sort out before her debut at Japfest (including couple of track sessions on the day hehe) ;)

haha I really wanted to get an R32 as my track slag before I ended up with this 14a!! I guess I was a little worried about getting hold of cheap replacement parts so I ducked out of R32 ownership in the end :wack:

But good on ya if you can make this happen... R32 is by far the best looking Skyline!!!

*Another Update*

Ok, I know stickers/decals are not to everyone's tastes but I've got a few sponsorship arrangements to fulfil and rather than just have a few logos dotted all over the place which looks naff, I'm going to cover the car properly and make her look 'track spec' :)

Here's the build up so far...

Working on the sections across the door gap...

Since the rev gauge is playing up (common problem I know), thought it would be an ideal chance to get a 5" monster tach gauge I've always wanted and the shift light will be usefull when out on track etc. However, I wasn't willing to pay top end prices for an Autogauge and most other brands don't do 5" tachs.

Luckily Leon @ EP Racing still had a couple of these Techo rev gauges on clearance so picked one up for cheaps and without being biased I think the build quality is excellent!

Here we go again... have to find 12V ignition source plus illumination feed :wack:

In the end I used wires for one of the radio related harness connectors... job done!

Tach signal wire has to be connected to PIN 2 of the S14a ECU...

Sorted...

Next job is to check fuel pump is 100% Walbro and swap the exhaust over for HKS Hi-Power item

This does look pretty awesome. I've just wondered why you've got stretched tyres for a track car?

Cheers Adam :)

I've got the stretch cos at the moment these are the only set of wheels/tyres I'm running with. Yes it will be primarily a track car but I'd like to use a cheaper set up like this to get me to/from track days and also for general weekend driving plus shows throughout the year.

Once I've got the cash, I'll be investing in a second set of wheels/tyres... something like:

and running Federal RSR (as wide as poss with no stretch)...

^^^ these will NEVER be used on public roads and saved for pure track use only lol :wack:

Those wheels will look fricking sweet! :D

You won't be disappointed with the RSR's either, great tyre.

Awesome!!

Great to know there's more recommendations for the RSR as I was getting depressed how much AO48's and even 888's costs these days?! :wack: :wack:

I'm trying my best to save for this second set of wheels/tyres but I think my budget will only stretch to a used JDM set. I've no problem about buying used goods as it's more about quality/strength/lightness but it might mean I'll have to settle for whatever comes up on eBay or JapanDyno so getting hold of Enkei NT03's could be somewhat elusive!!

I'm loving this thread *_____*
Cheers dude :D

I used them last year, and tried them on track too, very good grip levels. They're not quite as grippy as the 888 but at half the price they're a worthy investment.

Try these guys for the wheels http://www.performancealloys.com/wheel-details.aspx?ID=1332

I got my two rpf1's from them at Xmas. What I find odd though is they had loads of widths, and offsets to choose from when I browsed the site, which doesn't seem to be available anymore, so it may be worth giving them a call or email. I got a great service from them and good prices too.
