Looks really good man, i always love fresh paint, the smell, the feel. Having done a bare metal respray on my 32 i can say u will now worry about leaving it anywhere, anyone that leans on it or look at it u will think should be shot!

Are u going to cut the "peel" out at the end, that is the orange peel effect the paint has naturally when it comes off the gun and dries.

Thanks dude I can't wait to get the car back. SO EXCITED! My S15 is a drift car and I use it to go Touge... The car isn't a daily driver so I don't take it to shopping centres etc...

A good painter can paint a car and use good quality paint so that there is no orange peel, if there is, it will get fixed.

MNP, that paint is amazing. Saw my first MNP Skybarge a couple months back, couldn't stop looking at it!!

The peel effect will always be there no matter how good the painter its not something to worry about. No paint comes of the gun with reflections that are like a mirror. Basically the paint needs to be cut with very fine sandpaper and then buffed. I know this might sound full on and you will think your paint is being ruined, but te results of this cut are amazing.

My painter won summernats outright in the 90s and now repairs all the exotics that are crashed in brisbane, in fact many are sent from interstate. I can ask him more about the cutting process if you like because he is certainly a top painter

Looks pimp mate, nice range of color there! Even though the pics are a bit average i can see a nice range of colors there, from the deep purple to the violet to the dark blue sort of color. Awesome, cant wait to see some high res pics in the sun when its all done.

I notice with the bayside blue job on my 32 that some of the color range can only be seen under artificial light and not in the sunlight, its a purplw that comes out in it. I wouldnt be suprised if the midnight purple did something similar.

Nice looking sump that tomei one, mine actually turned up yesterday as well but i decided on the moroso one for a couple of reasons, will get some pics up soon

Sounds good mate my car is a drift car, this gives me 600ml more I believe + it stays above the sway bar which was the main reason I bought it, most hang under the sway bar... If I come off the track, the sump would come off also... Not good!

I've given in, I'm itching to show everyone what colour my wheels are going. I'm going all out, trying to be different, trying something new. Fingers crossed it works... I don't see why it won't work. Its going to be very 'look at me' but I don't care, I kind of like that Hopefully it works, if not, I'll paint the wheels white!

Also, all the motor parts turned up from the states yesterday so hopefully the block goes in for machining this afternoon after it has all been measured up. JE Pistons, Eagle Rods, ACL Race Bearings, ARP Headstuds, Metal Head Gasket etc.

Haha, good thing my car isn't going to be Pewter anymore! This time next week my car will look completely different to every S15 getting around! Which is a good relief! I hate having a car that looks the same as everyone elses.

So I just got my car home... Pretty ****ing happy with how it has turned out big smiles all round... I've bolted one wheel on... I have the flue so I can't be assed putting the rest on. Hopefully I get my motor back from being re-sleeved at the end of next week and we can start to put the motor together
