Spec S - Engine swap options?

RB20 is a boring old engine and too old for something as modern as a s15. S15 spec r,s can be bought for way less money now than 6 months ago.if u could sell ur own u might be as well just buy a spec r. ur bound to get 8 for urs and u will buy a spec r for as little as 10 grand now in ireland and would save u all the hastle.
if ur looking for a nice engine upgrade for ur spec S i would go with a SR20VE NEO VVL and put Pulsar VZR N1 cams in it and u will have 230hp from a n/a engine.they are also a popular engine in japan so easy enough got.
iv seen lads going from sr20det to sr20ve so they must be impressive.

Thanks David, I've read that thread alright and have had that in the back of my mind for a while now.

I missed an SR20VE head which was going cheap on AOC a couple of months back (it was an Irish member selling it too). N1 cams with the VE head & a GTiR header, would be pretty nice :thumbs:
