Either will do. Mechanical just means you plumb in a feed from the engine bay to the guage, ie for a boost guage youll run a boost feed from the engine to the guage. Electrical just means you only run the boost feed pipe to a sender in the engine bay which then sends an electrical signal down a wire to the guage to give your reading. Personally Im not a fan of mechanical guages simply because I wouldnt want to be running oil lines, boost lines into the cabin. Much easier and less chance of nasty leaks with a electrical guage.

Thats what i was thinking, always a chance of getting a kink in the pipe which would give a fulse reading
