Cheers Chris - I always thought bodywork was a bit of a mystery (rather like mechanical stuff before I got my hands dirty) until someone gives you decent pointers and you have a go yourself. Not so scary after all lol :wack:


I know the finish is never going to be as good as an expert bodyshop but it'll do for my daily driver hehe

Bodywork isn't that hard so long as your patient and have good attention for detail!
The only reason I didn't want to spray mine is I have no indoor areas to spray it so ended up doing it outside which isn't ideal but still needs must! Didn't fancy spending 180gettin it sprayed when I am going to get the whole thing sprayed at some stage may as well just do a poorboys job on it now !

Another update on the daily Lex-arse lol

Then after getting hold of the Chargespeed SXE10 rear bumper from Dan @ SRB (cheers dude!), I set to work on prepping, painting and fixing it on to the car...

Only paid £40 from local paint supplier for materials including x2 primer, x3 basecoat and x2 lacquer rattlecans. Not a bad job if I might say so for cheapo cans anyway lol

Finally found some time to take a proper pic (at my local golf course just before I tee'd off for a round with some mates haha) :thumbs:

Bearing in my this is my daily and I'm still yet to get the first stage of my S14a track project sorted, I think I'll stop here... or maybe just pause...

Track S14 hasn't really progressed much since I'm fast running out of annual leave to go up and do more work on her grrr... However, there's not much more at this stage in the game. We've done all the hard work stripping and prepping/painting the interior red (same colour as exterior).

The cage is ready to go back in her now and I'll be making one more visit before the end of the year to cut/trim the dash and get that in the car after the cage has been bolted in.


Gav will be spending a couple of months crafting his own S14 wide bodykit using my car so I'm really looking forward to seeing how that pans out!! Then, in Jan I'll be able to bring her home and do a few performance bolt on mods and get driving!!! :thumbs:
