my twin bro emmigrated to Sweden just over a year ago, we looked at doing a road trip from my home in Birmingham to his home in Finspang (about two hours drive from Stockholm) and the round trip including fuel would cost around £500, covering nearly £1000 miles. That cost includes the overnight ferry from Newcastle to Hook of Holland in Amsterdam (you have to have a cabin cause its overnight so costs a little more but your well rested for the next day). From Amsterdam you take a leisurely drive to Strasbourg and have a night in an Etap B&B hotel, cheap and cheerful but we decided to plan it like that to break the journey and visit a new place, ideal for this sort of event, plus you can all go out on the night together and have a laugh. From there its up through Denmark and over the bridge / tunnel across the strait and into the south of Sweden and up to where ever you want to have your group meet, and all camp out at floztyle's house for ultimate cheap trip!!!!!!! Don't know if thats the sort of trip you guys had in mind but it might give you an idea. Would love to go on such a trip but still haven't bagged the tokens to buy my S15 yet!!!
