No worries Craig - evening and weekends are best for me too lol :D

Ric - sure buddy, will let you know if we sort summat out... and yeah would be great to take some snaps at USC ;)

lmao fellas - you can see the difference in quality when one sources pro models... not the somewhat 'questionable' ones you tend to see at all the major UK car shows :wack:

** UPDATE **

Decided to have a go at cleaning up the tired look of the plug cover (as well as the fuse box lid as well lol)...

On with the primer!!

Then plenty of matt black and for the 'Intercooler Turbo' bits, I got out the good ol' bronze nail polish and blinged her up a bit hehe

Also added the RE-Amemiya replica vortex generators which are little fins that attach to the ends of the rear diffuser :) A lot of drilling, swearing and more drilling... 3 hours later hey presto (obviously primed and matt blacked beforehand)...

BTW thanks EP Racing for supplying these parts - didn't really fancy paying Amemiya over £400 before shipping just to get genuine CF versions (eek!!!)...

Well having spent hours messing with the turbo gaskets, new turbo elbow and oil feed braided lines, I've run out of credits with the missus so just booked her into WGT to get the FMIC fitted lol :)

TBH I was glad I did cos the Apex Performance Type 2 unit doesn't exactly fit very well so the guys had to make custom bracket just to get the core to hang on the front of the car!! Also had to cut part of the stock cold pipe and do a lot of 'shaving' to get the stock bumper to go back on *rolls eyes*

Anyways... she pulls nicely now and I'm soooo ready to get the Apexi PFC dropped in and map her to 1.2 bar... yay!!!!

Oh yeah also had the Driftworks racing tow hook custom fitted to the front ;) They had to bend it into an 'S' shape in the middle so the hole goes above the front lip hehe...

Looking very nice James! good to see you have finally got the FMIC on! I like the towing hook too, looks ace :)

Its funny you say that about the FMIC fitting. I've had a few bits from Apex now and TBH haven't been overly impressed with any of their own-brand stuff, fitment and/or quality wise.. What do you think?

Cheers dude :)

Well I'm not gonna totally slate Apex cos I'm buying their stuff lol but one seems to have to accept certain amounts of annoying little things...

The braided coolant lines for the turbo look decent quality but are too thick in my opinion so there's hardly any flex and fitting these are a PITA x100!!! Would have been better to use slightly thinner or certainly more flexible hoses and TBH, for the coolant set working out around £100, I think Apex should make these a perfect fit - either more flex in them or at least get the length right so one isn't pulling at them like trying to win a tug-o-war competition :wack:

The FMIC was again annoying little things like the core attachments not lining up properly at all and WGT had to make custom brackets which is a bit of a joke when it's sold for an S14/15 - you'd expect a proper fitment!! Also the cold pipe had to be shortened for the Type 2 version which means where you cut off the stock pipe has not lip or anything for the silicone hose to grip to so I'm just waiting for that one to pop off during a heavy track/drift session :wack: :wack:

I guess unless I want to live with buying everything from Japan at ridiculous JDM prices then that's the decision I have to make but for some reason, when it comes to pipework/metal related items, I'm just not convinced it's worth the extra dosh picking up JDM points so maybe I should stop moaning and accept these cheaper alternatives (although the coolant braided line was NOT a cheaper alternative *sighs*)...

Did some more work on her today with a mate :)

TRS 4-point harness ready to go in. We managed 3 out of the 4 eye bolts into OEM locations but the one that needed to go in the propshaft tunnel side didn't fit in the thread and the Bride seat rail was a no go area so waiting for stress plate to arrive from Demon Tweeks and then will get bodyshop to weld it on the outside so the harness can be fastened properly!! :wack:
