Dude - JameS15 has straight through 3" system which includes Blitz Nur Spec catback IIRC this doesn't have any silencing hence why he failed the noise level dB test @ Coombe!! :wack:

I think I'll be buying a noise level gauge/meter soon just to ensure mine passes ok - something useful to have I guess so we can try this on yours to the specified requirements i.e Measured at ½ metre from the exhaust outlet at 4500rpm.

I was going to do a track day at Combe a couple of months ago, as i had wondered about sound levels so I popped up there on a week day and got mine tested. It was 95db!

I have stock manifold, twin pipe elbow, stock Downpipe, Decat, hks hi power centre and rear!

I downloaded a decibel app for my iPhone and measured the db in a quiet open area and it read 96db so the app was quite accurate. Try that if you have an iPhone!

I pulled 104.9 last time mine was measured but luckily the limit was 105. It's a 3" unrestricted with one HKS Hi-Power silencer.

The old boy who tested it came to my window, pointed to his noise meter and advised me to get my exhaust 'looked at'! I gave him a bit of launch control for his cheek and it went up to 112! :D

Awesome Sam! I forgot about the iPhone app!! :wack: Yup will get on to this as soon as I'm ready to test my system :)

Craig - 104.9?! I'm sure you gave that noise level tester a tenner lmao... if you hadn't bribed him it would have read 105.1 (which is the real figure) :p
