yes, you should swap the BMC for the larger one + the booster or it will be like pushing against a wall.
Those "logical arguments" normally come from people that don't know much and just like to talk out their ass on internet forums.
I held off for a while thinking it would upset the balance of the brakes listening to muppets on internet forums. Then i installed one, with an R34's booster and the pedal feel was the same. But there was a few words muttered when i applied the brakes hard from 150kph to 0. My car pulled up faster as simply way more fluid pressure was going into the calipers for the same amount my foot was pushing the pedal.
And Ive just purchased and rebuilt another BM57 with R33 calipers with a Z32 booster for my 180sx, the setup works so well on the Silvia chassis for cheaper brakes then 80% of people realize
