Probably fitted by the previous owner of this car and he had it removed before selling. Just wondering what connector is this for?

Probably fitted by the previous owner of this car and he had it removed before selling. Just wondering what connector is this for?
I am very late to this, but that looks like the AC Mode selector module plug. Can you switch modes on your AC/heater. I just unplugged mine this weekend and it looked exactly like that.
