Spec S clutch??

JDM HID and Sat/Nav
I'm looking at a car that has HID and Nav How do I tell that HID is actually genuine HID? I can't see the ballast which i think is buried under the headlight? It is JDM model but not sure V package. I have just had my ADM S15 stolen from a public carpark; but am still rather fond of S15s and am considering another one. What are the pros and cons are of the JDM vs ADM S15? Also, is it simple to derestrict the speed limiter on the JDM cars and/or switch to the ADM cluster? Do the '99 JDM... -

Just wondering what I am up against if i have plans for the JDM sat-nav when my car arrives? A bit of searching shows that a UK conversion of the satnav can cost up to ?1800 which is a bit high for what it is IMO.
