Guys... anyone know how much I can pick up a PowerFC DJetro for in kl? If its cheaper there might wait until I go back to get one. Actually I have a whole shopping list haha but depends on how much money I have for my next trip back
I think the price is around 4.5k - 5k, depends whether is old or new stock and is excluding hardness ....

The Putrajaya streets were almost deserted and that was nice.
The interlocking pavers at the junctions were easy on the tyres to do donuts. The usual sinners last Fri nite ...

Sepang International Circuit Open Track Day

Yo Guys,

There will be a open track day at Spang Circuit this coming SUNDAY (14th December 2008), time is 2pm - 5pm. Entry fee per car is RM200. Payment at enterance. It'll be a FULL circuit course.

The main reason to S.I.C is NOT to race with anyone... but just for the sake of an golden opportunity to sharpen your own driving skills where you can push your car much2 more harder compare on normal roads in order to harness the limits where your car lies incorporate with proper braking/acceleration/gearing techniques cum negotiating corners with correct steering input methods by taking ultra smooth racing lines which will result your driving style to be super clean & tidy in no time. All of this will be done in a control & safety equipped enviroment.

Most important of all... we'll have lots of fun... Don't worry about your tire wear, it'll be minimum coz the surface is rather smooth. Just pump in 3 quarter tank + a helmet, probably a pair of driving gloves & shoes then you are ready to rock & roll...:rotfl:...

Anyone game for it...??? So far, Andrew,Colin & me confirmed...:D...!!!
Hope can see you all there..!!... The more the better.....

Cheers...

Eh Bro... yr ABS disable it lahhhh.... After u disable it.. d yellow colour ABS warning light on dash board will lid up... If it's annoying to u... simply take out the dash & remove the bulb.. settle... ... Then u can brake very late before the corner when dicing with ppl...

For my car... my ABS warning light is lid up & Airbag warning light blinking too coz I've changed sport steering... No f*#k lahh... hehehehe....

YOu know you can get proper steering wheel hubs which come with a little box to fool the A/Bag ECU into thinking there's still and A/Bag in dont you? :wack:

Hi Matt S,
Thanks for your valuable info, I don't know that there is such wheel Hubs that comes with little box that have the capability to fool the A/bag ECU. Mind if you kind enough to tell me what brand is the said product, roughly how much it cost & where can i purchase it...???

In Malaysia, we can hardly get hold of these tacky gadgets....
Not as advance in UK..

Thanks in advance..

Colin... My pleasure... don't mention it...:D....All you need to have more practice then u'll be there in no time..

Try your best not to apply FF cars driving method as you are driving a FR car now, avoid trail braking for the time being, I'm not saying you can't do trail braking for a FR car but as rookie, learn how walk 1st b4 learn how to run... 1 step at a time. Brake in a straight line & try to carry more speed into the corner & start practicing left foot braking technique.

You must get rid of the fear of sliding the car. Always charged into corner with a slightly over speed feeling after slight turn into the corner easy off a bit throttle. This will make your car's tail end slide a bit, (2 reasons)

Reason 1 : Slide to angle your car towards the exit point by clipping the inner apex of the corner, at time you see you are almost at the correct exit line, tat's the time you need to put the gas back on, don't wait till you see the exact exit line then only you gas on.. it'll be too late + for sure you will run wide. Sepang track has 15 corners, I see you've missed almost all the apex.

Reason 2 : You charging into a corner with slightly over speed, by sliding, your car will slow down a bit resulting you'll be in the range of correct speed for that particular corner you are negotiating. This is to reduce the time your foot stepping on the brake pedal & increase the time your foot stepping on the accelerator pedal.

Your F & R chamber + toe setting is NOT ideal & pls get a good tire pressure gauge...!!!.. Your suspension setup is too soft, do something abt it....!!

As for braking, you don't brake hard enough. You brake a mile away b4 the corner where you can charged in deeper into the corner & do a hard braking in a straight line then dive into the corner with slight over speed feeling in order to perform paragraph 4 (above) technique. FYI... It's call " DYNAMIC DRIFTING".

Hope to see you next available open track day... we'll do more practical.. You'll be there in no time...

Cheers...
