Went down to Silverstone for some JTS action on the weekend and had a brill time!! Despite some drizzles on the way to the show, the rain held off and it was nice cloudy weather which is always good for car photography...

One of the main attractions for me was to see an example of the new Nissan R35 GTR in the flesh and pulses were raised when we saw one parked on the side of the road just as we entered the main entry road for Silverstone circuit - great start to the day!! The rest of the morning was spent looking at the club show cars, visiting the EDC enclosure and walking the trade stalls. And so there was not one but two R35 GTR's looming about and seeing one up front makes me love that car so much more lol!!

The afternoon was spent photographing and enjoying the smell of burnt petrol as we managed to get right up to one of the barriers for some full appreciation of the Time Attack vehicles. We also watched the first knockout session of Round 3 of the EDC which was brilliantly entertaining.

One of the best cars of the day IMO - stunning Liner with everything 'just right'...

Can you guess how much BP 102 Unleaded at Silverstone currently costs per litre?? No wonder the last person only filled 11 litres of the stuff haha...

I was on the stand with GTC's GTR.... maxpower! w00 w00 lol.... gotta say though, they had the best ladies there! Gemma massey! phwoar!

We were also with pete whitfield, who built the engine for Zen performance's scooby. My god, that bloke knows waaaaay to much! LOL Was good though, listening to him, and getting to really have a sneek about the place and cars. Watched the evo SMASH into the pit wall straight.... it hit about 10 ft down from us, slid right past us, and stopped 50ft further up the wall! LOL ouch... expensive!

Very nice, but I disagree about the NSX. I saw it at Japfest. It should be a criminal offence to disfigure the original design of an NSX... :indiff:

SO true! The NSX has so much timeless beauty to start with any "improvements" just end up making them look worse... The NSX is still my favorite car to this day. :smittenI had a 91 black/ivy for three years)

Did you mean you actually come up to the show with Ben and his GTC GTR?? Yeah, heard about the Evo crash - apparently he was laffing but the missus wasn't so happy... :rotfl:

no, i went in my mate's R32 that was right behind ben's car.

did have a nice chat and snoop round the 35 though! mate of mine who works for max' knows ben very well!

my mates R32 was on the stand behind ben's R35. i could've put mine on there too..... but it's WAY to dirty for that outing, and just didn't have time to wash it.

Not a clue who's that civic is... agreed though, it's a nasty lookin' contraption!

Yeah, the guy who owns the Civic, his girlfriend is the one who owns the CRX Del Sol which I noticed was on the Max stand behind the hideous bright blue MR2 (think it's an MR2 but never looked that close). Think the R35 got poor companionship from the other cars there... except for your mate's Liner of course. Was it the black or dark grey one with nice set of rims??

The Delsol was owned by a model for the maxpower lot.
