Battery Cut-off

I'm looking for a quick and easy way to disconnect my cars battery, at the moment i disconnect the negative side when the car is in storage. There are a lot of battery cut-off switches available, but i've been thinking of something along these lines -

The 2nd option doesnt look so easy to fit. Any thoughts or alternatives?

Quick power is the brand. Got them from a Swedish equalent to halfords.
Could be available from boat accessory stores too.

I have used both of these types of switches. The top one is quite easy and doesn't require any modification to the car. It can be easily removed if required.
The second type of switch requires some changes to the battery wiring and a spot to mount the switch.

It you are looking for something easy, use the top one.

I have installed the 2nd option shown by Topper.

Works well when I store my ride. At least the battery don't go dead that soon.

i'm looking to get one of these too, and like the look of the first one (with green handle).

Do you know if its the smaller or larger battery connection/terminal size?

I think they are the larger. If you have small battery post you can get what they call a terminal sleeve and that should solve the problem.

but then i'd have to convert my original clamp to a large one, to fit on the other end of the cut off switch. Nothings ever simple is it!!

You can take the original clamp off and just use a terminal. there is a hole at the end of the cutoff switch. It is covered by the existing battery clamp.

Hope that makes sense.

Havent received this yet, but had a look in the engine bay, i dont have alot of room from my -ve side to the front support behind the lights, so fear this may not fit....
