First of the new oem replacement parts arrived today . Rain guard / wind deflectors . My old ones had been repaired before and I couldn’t bring myself to put them back on with the amount of work that’s gone into the car

Final little touches making the kit fit perfectly , almost ready for primer on the kit and shell now finally ! Looking forward to seeing it all in colour . It’s been a long time coming

Final parts have arrived ! New oem rubbers for the doors and outer trims , upper door shut too along with front and rear screen trims ( we keep in stock anyway ) no more parts for the car now apart from stuff to get her running ! Excited the list is getting smaller , can’t wait to have some fun in this

Roll centre adjust ball joints arrived front and rear , so pretty much ready to refresh all the underside once the paint is done ! Exciting to be coming towards the end of the list

Ha ha yeah defo got a bit out of hand but will be worth it I’m sure

Decided to spend some of today finishing the skirts and rear bumper .
Got them into spray filler along with some other customers parts I’m working on.
High build next then everything is set for colour

Yeah as it was silver and the bottom section will be black . They resin the mesh in on the vertex kits so it is a pain to remove and can damage the fibreglass causing more repairs

That’s a shocker, I’m sure they do it in good measure to keep it secure, but yes that sounds like a bit of a nightmare if you wanted to remove it to paint separately

However being all one colour will definitely look very nice and blend well

I have removed it on the wings and wish I left it defo wouldn’t come off by itself that’s for sure .
Bottom will be going gloss black I think, matches the wheels etc
Will clear it with diamonds like I have the rest of the car so it will have a nice pop to it
Just felt a silver mesh would be really out of place

It’s a shame about the wings, I had the same issue with a vented bonnet and ended up removing them entirely

Me too , Defo find out soon !
Will get some matching black mesh for the wing vents before it all goes back together should be good

Me too I must have built 20 odd s15 in this time this has been off the road along with loads of other stuff . Now I have more staff I’m hoping to free up a bit more time to get the old girl finished
