I haven't really started on the S15 this winter, so I thought I might show you what I've been up to lately :)

First this thingie arrived from Japan.

It was in pretty good exterior condition. Some scruffs and marks.
The interior wasn't the best though.

I had bought a set of TE37's for the Skyline, but the original plan was to get cheap freight for them and fit them to the S15.

Started the interior recondition by first clean all the carpets in the car.

Changed the wheels to the Black BBS wheels from the S15. The Te37s is now on the Silvia which looks nicer

Edit: I'll add a spec-list here.

Engine
Apexi power intake
Kakimoto Racing cat-back exhaust

Oils
Motul RBF600 brake oil
Motul Gear 300 gearbox oil

Suspension & brakes
brake speed bleeders

Interior
JVC CD/MP3 stereo

Wheels
BBS Formula (painted black)
front:
8" wide with offset +35
225/45 17
rear:
8" wide with offset +35
255/40 17

Exterior
Nismo smoked side-indicators
Nismo carbon-look B-pillars

Removed the grill, it had rust on the mesh. So I have repainted it.
The headlights have also been removed and is now converted for RH-traffic.

Removed the centre console and gear surround for some painting action. And stereo fitting. The Stock stereo is no good because it was a tape-stereo and the frequency doesn't go high enough for Swedish radio.

The thingie on the door was also removed for painting.

Fitted the DIN-adaptor from a Nissan Micra. Same kind I fitted to the S15 :)

Also fitted some cheap bling bling pedals

Cleaned the engine-bay abit. There's still much work left to be done here.

Centre-console under respray.

Fitted the centre-console yesterday after leaving it to dry for a coupe of days. Looks much better now. I really like the look of it.

Think you'll find that driving on the left came first and makes more sense :D It came about when coach drivers needed to keep their sword arm free (i.e. right arm) to fight bandits and thieves... Driving on the left meant they could keep control of the horses and fight with their right arm unhindered. :)

I don't know about you, but I don't really have any use for a sword when driving :p

But having a RHD car in a country with right hand traffic must be the best. I can just smack my door up on people on the sidewalk if I should feel like it :D :wack:

Sell it :wack:

I'm getting an apartment so can't afford having three cars anymore :D
I'll put the S15 on hold this spring so I get the chance to drive this baby some before I sell it. unless it takes to long time to sell it. Then it will be garaged so I can drive my S15 and bling around with the new wheels :D

After a small issue with getting the papers needed for getting the car road legal, they're finally on the way to me. should have them tomorrow :D
Swedish registration on monday.

Fitted some nismo carbon pillars which I bought from perfectrun at the same time I bought my winker stalk and relay for the S15.

Will head out to the garage thi evening and try to remember to take some pics of it newly washed.

If I fail to remember I'll get some pics up after the weekend.

Very soon.
Have the papers in my hand now. Finally after 6 months.

Here are some of the pics I took yesterday. Some are pretty shaky though as the ones with flash turned out to be to dark. So on some pics I had to rely on stable hands and longer exposure time which didn't work out too well.

Newly washed. Oh is that UK plates ;)

All my cars gathered for a group pic.

Dark edition of the the pack.

Thank you. :)

I've been driving the car for some distance now. Attempted the Swedish version of SVA yesterday which it failed. Paperwork issue. But I'm on it :)
Will attempt another try ASAP.

The car bone stock is very very comfy.
It's pretty quiet in cabin and suspension is soft. I kinda like it. Would be a good daily driver if fuel consumption wasn't a problem. But so far it doesn't seem to drink that much.

It actually beats my fathers Mazda6 in terms of comfort, and it pulls better too with the 250hp.

Hmm. I wonder how the Skyline R34 2.5 non -turbo would do as a daily driver. kinda tempted :wack:
Supposed to drink less fuel with the new NEO-head which the R34 got and the automatic comes with "snow" mode which is supposed to make it controllable in the snow.

Good thing I can't afford it. :)

New registrationattempt on monday :)
I have changed the parking lights as they where orange which is not allowed. Yellow and white are allowed, but not orange. So now I have white parking lights :)

Should have the paper issue sorted now too.

Last time the engineer stated that the car had 284kw which is hardly the case. The most powerful stockish skyline in the world :rotfl:
I'll print the tech specs from the service manual and see if they can change it.

finally. After 7 months and 3 registration attempts the Skyline has finally passed :D
I'm now officially a happy camper :D
The papers I had from the beginning was OK. It was just the engineers who didn't know that.
Yihaa. have to wait for some papers before I can drive it. should take more than a few days.
