Round 2; Prodrift Irish Championship & Prodrift Super Series (not 56k friendly)

Round 2 of both the Prodrift Irish Championship & European Prodrift Super Series were on in Punchestown at the weekend. It was a fanastic weekend and the weather wasn't bad either.

Here's just a few of the pics I took over the weekend - figured I'd throw them up!

I hadn't charged my battery on the Saturday night so it ran out before the twin battles started on the Sunday :annoyed:

What happened to Bon Bon's DW R32? I called him today to enquire about some parts and he seemed pretty down about a crash he had on the weekend??

The battery was gone on the camera at that stage. It was a weird battle between himself and McDonagh (in the Volvo). Bon Bon had mechanical problems in the first run so McDonagh didn't bother drifting or even finishing the run (he finished using the line they took on the Saturday:

instead of the one they were using on the Sunday:

and Bon Bon followed him) so they were level on 5 - 5..

In the second run Bon Bon crashed into the Need for Speed banner on the way out of the penultimate turn & McDonagh just stopped!

It was a pity because Bon Bon had the beating of McDonagh IMO; maybe he just put too much pressure on himself after the first run. I presume he knew they were tied going into it?
