Well, it turns out that the overfill idea worked! No more notchy shift! It also turns out the box wasnt leaking from the prop seal as I suspected, but from the top where the lever flange with four bolts bolts to the gearbox. So whipped that off (well, I say whipped HOW LONG ARE THOSE BOLTS???!?!?! :wack: ) and resealed with gasket.
