Pic Request - Pewter S15 with smoked Yashio's

As title really - Pics of pewter S15's with the smoked Yashio factory tail lights (or someone with superior Photoshop skills than myself!)


I've got clear ones ATM, but maybe want to swap to the smoked style but want to see what they look like before spending my monies!!

I dont think they are the yashio's as yashio's have the clear reverse light section and are a bit lighter I think.

Yeah, their the same as on my car in that pic, apart from the lens is smoked mate I tried photoshop a while ago but cant get my head around it at all! :wack:

after checking out the pics, makes me wanna swap to smoked taillights as well! with the pewter s15, it definately gives it a nice clean look!

Yeah, me too! I dont want them as dark as the ones in the pic above though, but I dont think the Yashios are quite as dark as those..

Craig, dont do it. I know its down to personal taste and all that, but I think the clears look much better on your car.
But what do I know...

Haha! I've been toying with the idea for ages, but really dont know! TBH, the clear ones look fine and theres lots of other cool stuff I could spend £300 on (such as tomei cams)!!!

And you won't notice any difference driving the car with smoked Yashio's, but you certainly will with cams

Hey Craig, where did you get your rear plate from.
just when i get my silvia, i want to get some with the reg in a single line like yours, on a standard jap sized plate. Same as yours really.
Got the reg S15 VLA waiting for when i find one.

Think opinions will differ all over the place but I reckon smoked on pewter will look ace Good job I bought mine earlier in the year cos there's now around 10 million things I'd rather spend £300 on - think I would have just tinted my stock rear lights if I left it this late lol :wack:


I do have my stock rear lights knocking around so if you ever want to take them off me and have a play with tinting as an alternative option then let me know - saves you trying to play with your current lights taken out of the car etc :thumbs:

Hi mate,

I got it from a seller on eBay i think! Just search for custom plates or similar.

It's getting difficult to find someone who will make them as its apparently illegal to make 'show plates' now. Mine's not legal because the spaces are not correct, but the letters are normal import size ones. Let me know if you have trouble and I will find the seller in my history.

Yeah, it is definatly personal taste. I think they do look good, but the clear ones dont look bad either. TBH, I dont like them anywhere near as dark as the ones people have posted, I would only want a very slight tint but thats what the yashios/yours have IIRC.

I might wait a few months and buy a set to try. If i dont like them they should still be worth 90% of what they cost, and if I do like them, I could change back when I get bored!
