I remember seeing this on Speedhunters dude... awesome!!! :D

I'll be asking a few things cos I'm looking into SR20DET rebuild parts soon. I've heard CP are decent brand of pistons. Is 86.5mm the standard SR20 piston size? Have you still got standard stroke? Are the Tomei procams noticeably lumpy on idle? How much bhp/ft lbs increase do you think they provide?

Tial V-band rear housing is not cheap lol :wack: Fairplay looks like you've really spent the dollars on top parts and not only does she go, she looks immense from the outside as well

Stunning car! Have you got any piks from the actual build etc like from when you first got the car? Would be interesting to see it take shape!

CP are good pistons, you can order to your own compression spec. People tend to get overesized pistons to get rid of previous wear on the bores from the standard sized pistons as the SR doesn't run liners. A block hone cost me £220 earlier in the year to 86.5mm for CP pistons, however I ordered the high compression set at 9:1.

Very awesome spec by the way, what's the turbo like? That's a big arse blower:D:thumbs:

Yeah I found CP Pistons to be one of the higher quality pistons out there. And having the ability to be able to tell them exactly what comp ratio and diameter you would like them makes it alot easier. 86mm is the standard bore size so I had gone just 20thou oversized to the 86.5mm. You can go anywhere up to 90mm which makes it more a 2.2L but then the block would be very thin.
Yeah I left it the standard stroke in the end. Was a questionable 2.2L stroker kit with 89mm pistons and Darton sleaves to make it a 2.35L but thats a bit extreme for what my wants were.
With the Tomei procams i wouldnt be able to tell you how lumpy or performance increase as I am still in the process of dropping the engine back into the car. But i will be sure to let you know.

SpeedHunters did get it correct. I originally had a Greddy TD06 L2 20G kit on it which made the 298.9kw on 1.3bar and as you would see it was running the Apexi PowerFC d-jetro ecu aswell until it came off the road.

Welcome to the club Matt, FANTASTIC spec list :notworthy: and stunning car :smitten:

Any videos of it? I bet it sounds beautiful.....

Thats from the older owner of the car. I dont have any videos as yet.

No sorry i dont have any of the build but it was brought into the country stock and then Athid built the car from who I bought it from and gets the mods going.

Yeah was on the front cover with a white Evo in March09.

Yeah I went 9.1 pistons also with a final comp ratio of 8.942:1. Yeah it is a fairly big turbo but for what I'm wanting it should be perfect seeing I have put the Tial rear housing on for better outcome.

Thanks for all the good comments. I will be sure to keep it all updated with the progress.
