might be a bit helpful if you're wondering about a text somewhere in the S15.

After getting it in "regular" text a web translator should do the trick to get a basic understanding to what the text says.

to those put off by the text, all foreign words are written in Katakana text. it's dead easy to translate. for example:
メ"me"(as in metal)
ン"n"(as in en)
テ"te"(as in ten)
ナ"na"
ン"n"
ス"su"
タ"ta"
イ"i"
ヤ"ya"
with some study you can learn the katakana table in a week or so. then you'll be able to get a rough understanding of what's being written.

Oh, my first post - and on the day I've bought my S15!

Anyway, it's a good idea posting this on the forum.
However I've been studying (badly) Japanese for over a year and I still forget some Katakana.

Also one thing to bare in mind is that some things are pronouced differently in Japan so it is not always easy. One time I was staring at the Nismo website for 10 minutes before I realise the comment said "Brembo Caliper". The best method is to work it out in english letters and then read it out load to yourself.

Two useful words:

ホイール = Ho I Ru = Wheel
キャリパ = Kiya Ri Pa = Caliper

Don't forget that "R" is said as "L".

Might try and compile some useful words if I get my rear into gear.
