Hello guys I just brought my missus a spec s with the hid's fitted but the connections don't want to go together even though they look like they should be able to fit together and the plugs are a different colour. Is that the hids arnt the original lights on the car? I'd look at my 15 but its having work done
100% correct mate.
The HID connector is MARGINALLY different to the non HID one. theres a few little notches inside one of them that wont line up correctly. however the pins (thus voltage etc) are exactly the same as far as i'm aware. You just need to shave off these notches with a stanley knife or similar, and eventually they'll slide together
I know this because I've had both HIDs and non-HIDs fitted on mine throughout her life.
