Having intake plenum decrease power??

Is it true that without upgrading turbo there is power loss if intake plenum is changed to like greddy plenum?

Just heard it from a tuner but couldn't quite agree...

yes ive read this a few times but id be interested how true that is? Ive seen them loose power down low but gain 14-20bhp on the top end. Either way ill be upgrading and testing it for myself .

Hmmm ...... I have mine put down to install and I am going to be running some 650CC injectors as well with the stock turbo and and turning the boost to 12psi daily and 14 on weekends. Would a Z32 MAF be necessary as well? All this being tuned with a PowerFC L-Jetro.

i've heard it just moves the power band about.

i'm changing my turbo.... but not planning on changing the intake!

I don't think you lose power but you will definately lose response down low but gain it back up top.
