Heya

Is their a trick to getting these off or should they just come away easy?

I tried last time outta curiosity but didn't work probably cause i left the cable bracket attached.

I need to do it this time because im pretty sure 1 of the gaskets is leaking hence the black carbon on the front of the engine and what i assume is exhaust coming though the vent (always thought it was the cars in front)

I guess its just the 4 bolts and then to try to get the bolt off that cable bracket and then it lifts up easy

any advice would be appreciative as i want to look over this on Saturday

easy enough to remove, unclip the plug for the O2 sensor, the rest of the plugs will slide off towards the front of the car, (press release) , then unbolt that bracket, 2 bolts 12mm i think, the bottom bolt might be abit tricky to get to. once that bracket is removed just the 5 bolts holding the shield on. also it may be easier if you unplug the breather hose going across the top of the shield
