Sure its not a faulty delimiter chip ? Might be worth trying to by-pass it first in case its somehow having an effect.

its the RPM not the speedo.
if you take the screen off and give the dial a tug it works properly for about a minute. then starts playing up again. i think something in the motor is buggered.
