C's Short shifter..

Hi,

I'm just wondering if any one out there with one fitted has experienced any problems with it or with it cause any damage to the gear box it self?

Nope, mine has been perfect. I really cant see how one could cause damage to a gearbox

mine does get loose every so often , fair anoying.

savage short shift to it though.

Mines been in for a few years and if you make good changes it will be fine. I found once I had fitted Nismo engine and gear box mounts the change was smooth and more direct.


Meddler was sold once he drove mine with the C's :nod:

Thanks for the replies guys.

My car has developed a gearbox fault and I have a c's fitted which I have always said is my favourite mod as it makes such a difference to the feel of the box.

But the shifter has been blamed for the problem which they think is the sychro's failing. I didn't expect anyone else to have experienced any issues as it's a quality bit of kit but the garage are insisting short shifters are bad news!

I'll be getting a second opinion asap...

sincros are common on these boxes, specially 3rd gear. I cant see how the short shifter would be the cause? all it does is shorten the legnth/ leverage of the gear lever.
