Brake Fluid - DOT 5.1?

Howdy!

So i'm sure i read somewhere that DOT 5.1 is recommended for fast road, but i just read up that it is NOT recommended and has significant disadvantages (not listed).

Can anyone expand on this/recommend brake fluid 'DOT' (3/4/5.1)

Also, how much brake fluid does the S15 take? (roughly) I'm not a brake guru so going to be having a whole week probably to fit R33 brakes (inc master cylinder) and change the fluid..

i use just under 2 ltr, but it really depends on how much you are going to flush through the system

Ok cool, cheers mate I'l get 3 just in case. And have some spare for the next time I need it..
